I shouldnt be so hard on myself. I had a baby 10 months ago...But that's plenty of time to get to my goal....135...When I started WW in January I was 189 and now I'm 164. and i feel like there is no excuse for me not to be my goal by now. i actually stopped ww for 2 months because i was cheating a lot. i cant seem to stick to anything and if im not thin by my wedding ill be so hurt. im starting low carb tomorrow with my boss as well as the WW meetings. Do you girls think I could lose a decent amount in 3 months on low carb?? i have to do this..

Dieting S****. I am the heaviest I have ever been and I can't believe I am getting married in 2 months. The day I have always waited for and I am fat. It is so stressful and hard trying to lose weight.
OMG I feel the same exact way!! I was on a medication for Migraines that I took daily for 15 months and came off in February and had instant weight gain and have not been able to lose it whatsoever. I go the gym 4-5 days a week and nothing!! Grrr!! I don't want to look back on my photos and be upset with how I look -- it's so frustrating knowing I've been so much thinner.

I hate that feeling, when you're mad at yourself because you think you should have done better and all the while others are telling you you look fine!! One thing I have learned the hard way is that if you start off a day doing badly, you don't have to turn the whole day into a failure. In the past, if I ate chocolate or something during the day, I'd give in to all my other cravings later on that day, thinking oh well, I already blew it, might as well completely ruin the day. Now I allow myself to have the occasional 'bad' food but I get right back to eating well for the rest of the day. That has helped me stick to my plan (basically WW) and do OK, instead of being completely rigid and then really blowing it.
You are 110% right!!

Re: Anyone depressed about their weight?
I am an 08 bride but I know how hard it is to lose weight after having a baby I have a 3 1.2yr old and I never got back to my normal body I didnt try very hard but I still never got there. Now I am pregnant and due with my 2nd in Sept. I am dreading the dieting but I know I will have to do major diet and exercise so I can look how I want in my pictures. Don't get discouraged. I find that carrying a picture of you at a thinner stage helps if you want to eat something bad loook at that pic it might help. I am not fond of WW bc with a kid your soo busy counting points its sooooo annoying. I am going to eat small portions no bad foods and stick with whole wheat bread and pastas. There is a diet called the ABS diet they just recently made a book for woman they have an after baby plan an plan for wanting to lose weight quick. It tells you all teh foods to eat and which exercises to do. Its also about health not just losing weight. I plan on doing that you should go to a bookstore and check it out. Good luck to you

I have a cheat day too, you have to. It doesn't mean you go crazy just eat things you would normally talk yourself out of.

yes. you absolutely CAN... Depending on your body type before you had the baby. I was back to my normal weight (with a fewm ore curves which were needed) within a year of givng birth to my son.
You have 3 months... PLENTY of time. Just go hardcore with the exercise... LOTS of steady cardio. Try to run for 1/2 hour every day (weekdays, and give yourself off on the wknds)
WW works WONDERS... just up the cardio, and you should be as cool as milk.
GOOD LUCK!!!

It is possible to do that on a low carb diet but be prepared I was on Atkins before my sisters wedding and after I reached my goal and I did look fantastic, you gain the weight back and them some. Since then I had the hardest time losing weight finally a friend told me about a diet drug prescription called Phentermine, ask your doctor first if he will give it to you, mine wouldn't, so I went the online pharmacy way. 4 months ago my weight was 217 now it's 185 with 10lbs til I reach my wedding goal weight.
It doesn't make you jittery at all.
Where did you get this and do you remember how much??

goggle it that is what I did. non prescription phentermine. It's going to come from Germany or somewhere so it takes like 2 weeks to get.

I found this on ebay and bought 2 bottles right away. I gotta say though - I felt it didn't do anything for me. A good friend of mine was taking this and lost the weight amazingly fast - but then it started to take it's toll on her. She started to vomit blood uncontrollably and really messed up her stomach.
I stopped taking it and joined WW. I know that if I can gully up some motivation to return to the gym - then I'll have no worries at all. Right now it's a bit overwhelming to try to find an extra hour to escape to the workout world. Plus with my overly addicting personality - I could never go for just an hour - in the past I've been going to the gym 3 hours a day 7 days a week. This of course isn't healthy at all.
If only there was a healthy and faster way to eliminate the weight - where MY fairy godmother dangit....

Re: Anyone depressed about their weight?
That's because you have to know how to take it.
I took it one month, took a break, one month etc. I have 7 more days left of it then I am done. Now that I am 10lbs away from wedding goal weight, i can maintain and control myself on my own. If you use anything in drug related for an extended amount of time it would take a toll on your body.

Re: Anyone depressed about their weight?
I so agree with all of you here who are upset... I too have not been as good as I should have been and now it is a month until the wedding and I am still at 165 and just found out my dress needs to be drastically altered b/c it does not fit! I am trying very hard to be optimistic. I am dieting and walking and planned to start yoga tonight, but I just found out the class is FULL! So depressing...
Hoping the rest of you never feel the way I do...

Re: Anyone depressed about their weight?
I am in the same boat. I had a baby 7 months ago and I only lost 25 pounds... and that was all in the first month. I haven't lost any since January. My FI and I are starting Atkins until I drop 30 pounds and then I'm going to maintain. I have to do something, right now I weigh 225, it's a lot. I hope you stick to it and I hope I do too!!!

Re: Anyone depressed about their weight?
becareful with weight loss drugs
some info on phentermine from drugs.com
Taking phentermine together with other diet medications such as fenfluramine (Phen-Fen) or dexfenfluramine (Redux) can cause a rare fatal lung disorder called pulmonary hypertension. Do not take phentermine with any other diet medications without your doctors advice.
Phentermine can cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert. Avoid drinking alcohol. It can increase some of the side effects of phentermine. Phentermine may be habit-forming and should be used only by the person it was prescribed for. Keep track of how many pills have been used from each new bottle of this medicine. Phentermine is a drug of abuse and you should be aware if any person in the household is using this medicine improperly or without a prescription. You may have withdrawal symptoms, such as depression and extreme tiredness, when you stop using phentermine after using it over a long period of time. Do not stop using phentermine suddenly without first talking to your doctor. You may need to use less and less before you stop the medication completely

I understand you being anxious and wanting to lose weight quickly, but it really isn't a rush. It is far more important to behealthy for your wedding day than to be a certain weight. I have lost 85 lbs with diet and exercise - it has been difficult and a very long process - for the past year I have been struggling with the same 10 lbs, but I have also gone down a size becuase I run at least 3 days a week. Try not to obsess about the scale, it's just a number, not a measure of who you are.
You are a beautiful woman because of who you are, NOT because of some number on a scale.
This is my progress so far, it can be done with diet and exercise alone

You will lose weight on Atkins. The first two weeks are the toughest but you will drop many lbs in the first two weeks.
