Not DIY, but I've seen girls buy two sets of these for each table from BBB

If you decide to DIY,
http://www.save-on-crafts.com/
....that's a good site to use.

We did. We bought a 5 piece, different sizes pillar candles set from ikea for $9, a silver plate to put under for $1 at Michaels, and we bought dried orchids from sav-on crafts. Each table was about $13 to make and we got so many compliments, guests told us that it was nice to be able to look at each other across the table and not be blocked by high CP. We also had uplighting, so the candles went well with the room. HTH!

I'm still working on mine, but I'm DIY Curly Willow centerpieces. They're currently my obsession until I get them just right, but here's the first run:

Love this! Where did you get the Curly Willow centerpieces?

Re: Anyone diy their centerpieces?

I would love to DIY my centerpieces but I don't know if it is feasible. I just can't see how I could get it all arranged the morning of or day before. I'm scared flowers would wilt.
I was thinking of candle centerpieces too since I'm not fond of having flowers die so quickly after having spent so much money on them... but again logistics, and fire hazards! haha

Still have to debate what I'll do with that. I like my reception hall as it is, I don't think it needs much decoration, but we'll see.

You did a great job. They are beautiful.
I am determined to do my centerpieces. I am going to do off white hydrangeas and roses with iced branches and some crystals hanging off. I live next to a park and am getting the branches from the park!

Something like this but bigger.

I think I read somewhere that hydrangeas brown or wilt easily. I think you have to be careful with them...

Agreed. Not sure if I'm going to DIY centerpieces. I dont think I will have time to put them together and to buy everything I may be better off renting not sure yet. I havent met with the florist to get prices. Then I will be stick trying to sell everything in the end. Descions decisions......

I bought them from Save-On-Crafts.

Just a word of caution if you order curly willow from them - I ordered 10 bunches. They came shipped in two tall boxes, but they were kind of hard to get out of the boxes and since they're so fragile, a lot of pieces broke off.

Since they're not supposed to be perfect, it's not really a bad thing, but if that would bother you, just make note of it.
