I like the small 7 inch bottles for an invite...Im filling it with pink rose petals, the corks will smell like vanilla, a brown bow goes on the outside..but I cant figure out what kind of paper will roll up best for the small bottle opening. HELP...Thanks

I did them for my Save The Dates. Pics in my album. I used parchment paper that was already a brownish color. I didn't burn the edges. I tried it & it was SO ANNOYING & I lost about 10 sheets & there was friggin ashes all over my kitchen. I don't recommend doing that.
I used a BBQ skewer (super skinny) to roll them with & tied them with jute rope from Michaels. Also, you can just drop the scented oil into the sand with a dropper.
Make sure you soak the corks for a few minutes in warm water. Cork the bottles while wet & they will stay closed better.

I used 8 1/2 x 11 paper from Staples. It was like $10 for 100 sheets. Don't get thick paper, it won't roll right.
I wrote up a little ditty in Microsoft Word, (printed the STD on the front & hotel info on the back. ) Then I had it cut in half at Kinkos for like $1 & Voila!

I made message in the bottle for my STD as well! Mine were champagne bottles to b/c we’re getting married on NYE. Pics in my album I used just regular copy paper… in a dark yellow color I rolled them with a pencil but the BBG skewer is a great idea. The bottom of my bottle came off so that is how I got everything in. Maybe you can find bottles like that.
