I want to put something in writing to let our guests know that my parents are hosting a casual brunch/bbq at their house. Not sure how to word it -- any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Anyone doing a 'day after' brunch or bbq?
We did it verbally. Actually my dad told everyone verbally. In the Russian culture it's kinda assumed that you'll have a day after lunch for those that are OOT and for close family. We had a day after lunch at the restaurant that my caterer owns with over 150 people!

We may do a brunch, but we're waiting to see how many people are staying overnight (we don't have a ton of OOT guests).

Meant to add, we will probably spread the word verbally but also include something in the bags we leave in the guest rooms.

That sounds like a good idea too to put something in the OOT guest bags. We were also thinking of sending something out with our RD invites to let everyone know ahead of time.
Just not sure how to word it ??

We will be doing it verbally. It all just kinda travels from word of mouth.

Doing an informal brunch the next morning for those guests staying at the hotel. When the guests check in, they will be given the hotel info, as well as 'voucher's for use in the hotel restaurant the next morning.
I may ask a few others to join us, like my sis and her family and some close friends that live nearby.
FH and I are picking up the tab for everyone.

Thinking about this, but waiting to see just how many people this would be.

we are having a brunch for OOT guest and close family, so we included an invite with our regular invites for those people.

We put it in the welcome letter that people got when they checked into the hotel.

Re: Anyone doing a 'day after' brunch or bbq?
we sent out an invitation to people's homes that we knew were staying at the hotel. We just got pretty paper from like kinko's/staples and sent it out. That way we know, but we're also hosting it at the hotel where most guests are staying so my FH's parents needed an idea of how many people are coming. Basically it said
'please join us for a 'morning after' breakfast buffet
day time location
parents names(both bride and groom's as hosting)
rsvp by ...... # and email address to respond to'
sorry it wont post for some reason...FM me if you want me to email it to you

We're putting the invitation in the out of town bags for our guests at the hotel. We're not inviting people that aren't paying to stay in the hotel because we want the breakfast to be like a thank you for traveling the distance to attend our wedding.
Here's the saying we put inside the bags:
Though Victoria and Fred Will already be wed, Our guests from the wedding still need to be fed… So on Sunday morning, don’t pack and run, Stay around a little bit longer, for a little more fun!
Please join us for Brunch 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Re: Anyone doing a 'day after' brunch or bbq?
We haven't decided yet how we are doing it (98% of our guests are OOT) but at other weddings that I have been to, I received either a seperately mailed invite for a brunch or it was placed in my invitation.

we're just having an informal brunch type of thing the next day and have just told everyone. i sent out an email to all of my friends, my mom's been telling our OOT family and FH told his. we want people to know how informal it is, which is why we're not going to mess with invites.

We're doing the same thing Stef.. I left if up to my Mom to pass the word around though...she's including the OOT family & close friends. I would put something in your guests rooms if you have rooms reserved for them or just make a little announcement at the reception to let people know to come by! I owe you FM by the way We need to catch up on the planning. It's getting clooooooose
