anyone doing a photo montage?

I would like to do a photo montage on a video screen during the father/bride and mother/groom dances. Is anyone doing this, or has anyone seen it done? It is a compilation of pictures of say me and my dad, while I was growing up, which is shown on a screen while we dance. I saw it done a long time ago and it was so touching. In the Mix offeres it as part of one of their DJ packages, but I'm not crazy about their set up. Any info or opinions would be great, thanks

We did something like that. It was our 'growing up' pictures, most showing key moments in our lives (communion, graduations, proms), and our 'dating years' pictures. The montage was about 2 minutes long, and was played twice during the reception. When those pictures weren't being shown, there were digital pictures of our guests up, which were taking during the reception.

who was your DJ? or did you have a band? who ran the montage and what kind of screen was it on? Any info would help, thanks!

We had a DJ and a singer, both of whom we got through DanceJock, along with our montage screens. The screens were pretty big, and there was one on each side of the dance floor.
They were controlled by a seperate photographer who came from DanceJock, along with the screens. Our guests really seemed to enjoy watching who would pop up on the screens over the course of the night.
About a week after our wedding, we got a video set to music with all of our digital pictures that were taken during the reception, as well as our own childhood and dating pictures.

We are also doing the same thing as JennRenee mentioned. Pics of us each seperatelyt growing up, then pics of when we first started dating till now. They will be showing this during the reception and also when those pictures aren't being shown, there will be pictures of our guests. I didn't want to do it at first, but FH talked me into it.

I was thinking of doing the same thing but like I was told, it takes away from everyone watching you & dad dance, they look at the screen instead. I want all eyes on ME (us)

I agree with a photo montage taking away from key moments. Our was shown during dinner, and then recapped during our last slow dance.
