anyone doing bridemaids hoodies??

wondering if anyone out there is giving monogrammed bridemaids hoodies to their BMs. i want to do this for xmas presents even though my wedding isnt until sepetember. i will be getting them other (more traditional) gifts to give them at the RD.
can anyone think of any reasons (honest opinions please) that this wouldnt be a good idea? i think it would be cute (although ill make it clear that they can wear them whenever or never - i wont be offended either way). just curious if you would like this or hate this and why. TIA!

Would they say 'Bridesmaid' on them?

Honestly, I think it's cute... but it's not something I think most people would get a lot of wear out of. I might wear it to the bachelorette party or while getting ready the day of... but other than that, I'd probably only wear it around the house occasionally. I don't see myself walking around with a 'bridesmaid' sweat shirt on all the time.

I agree with the above poster. I made one for myself that said Bride and I still wear it a lot. But I didn't make them for my BMs bc I didn't think they would get much use out of them. I didn't want to waste my $$ and I couldn't see them wearing them enough to make it worth it.

I am giving my bm's hoodies so that they can ready that morning in them...I am not putting anything on them though. They are just all pink...even the 2 flower girls are getting pink ones....and I will be wearing a white one the morning of....

This is so they don't have to worry about a seperate shirt that buttons so that when they get their hair done, they can just zip out of the sweatshirt.

Our wedding is in March, so they will need them to keep warm that morning getting ready...and this way they can wear them again....I might put a little note with them to explain what they are for...

I think it's a really cute idea but am not going to do them. Only my MOH and FSIL will be getting ready with me the day of and the other girls will be going to their usual salons. I doubt they want to be walking around town with 'bridesmaid' written on their backs. If they were all getting ready at my hotel room I might consider doing it.
