I was thinking about possibly doing Candle votives as Place Cards. I saw them once at a Bridal showcase with the Guest's name & table number. Anyone else doing this? Or maybe have any ideas where I can purchase this? TIA!

Re: Anyone doing Candle Place Cards?
i'm not doing them because i don't want to spend about $1 per place card

My sister did them. They were beautiful and perfect. She made them herself (I helped LOL). She bought the votives then got the papaer velum she wanted and printed the names on them. We cut them to the shape of candle and attached it with a glue dot. Heres some PICS of them

Oh and just make sure you can have them as place cards first if you decide to do them. I read on a previous thread that some RH dont allow people to hold and walk with them HTH

That might have been me and yes it is true. I bought all the materials and were going to do them. Then I asked JT about it and they said NO WAY! It is a liability. People will take them from the card table and one they could get very hot, and 2 they could brush against someone with long hair or a men's necktie and catch fire. I hadn't thought of that but it is true.
they said I could use the flamless candles but I didn't think it was the same effect so I scratched that idea.
It is a beautiful look. I would just check with Vineyard Caterers first

But you could always do it as a favor instead and not light them

If you're allowed, at Michaels or AC Moore they have in the wedding section candle labels. I think they are meant to say 'john & Jane 1/1/10' but sine they are the print your own kind, i'm sure you can put your guest info on them. Then check out dollar stores or restaurant supply stores for votive holders in bulk.
