Anyone doing DIY favor (food/perishable)?

Hi 07 bride here -- thinking about making spiced nuts (nuts for each other -- ) for our wedding favor. I've made it at our e-party and everyone raved about it.

I am getting cellophane bag from PaperMart and label from My Wedding Label.com

So, is anyone else making something (food, perishable) for their wedding and if so, when do you plan to prepare it???

Part of my favor is personalized m&ms-but not something I am making. I just got them and my wedding is the end of this month-so 3 and 1/2 weeks. I don't know how long yours would last though.
