Iam not sure how to go about doing the Donations to cancer research.. We want to do it in my mothers name as well his uncle.. How do you think that will go over with the guests? SHOULD I include chocolate or something ?

I want to do donations as favors. Not sure how FH feels about it though - don't see how he could against it, we just haven't discussed favors yet. Most likely I will donate to the American Cancer Society - since we've both lost grandparents to cancer. I'm also running a marathon in June with the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, so I don't want to stray to far from that cause.

We are doing a donation to the Alzheimers foundation. The have 'livestrong' type bracelets that are purple and say ' a reason to hope' on them. We are giving those plus jordan almonds in a box w/ a card explaining about the donation. My mother's mom and FMIL's dad are both suffering from alzheimers. My mother was so touched when we told her.
