Anyone DRIVE every morning and can give me traffic info on...
The Triboro ? We plan on going to Connecticut on Thursday morning (as early as possible). We plan to take the Triboro (going to Newington - way out there, and then stopping in Derby, CT on the way back - family visits - just hoping we dont hit major traffic in the morning)
I KNOW the Triboro is a CONSTANT TRAFFIC JAMM - I grew up in that area and always DREADED driving even NEAR it, but I dont know for sure what the every day traffic is like M-F, is it regular rush hour traffic ?? or is most of the traffic coming IN to the city ??
We were going to take ferry @ Port Jeff, but now we are also taking my mom and MIL who are in Queens, so since we have to go pick them up in Queens it wouldnt make sense to take the ferry (Which would have saved us LOTS of time! )
HELP ???

Check 1010wins.com - there is construction on the Triboro last I heard. And you know what that means for traffic at ANY time!

UGHHH. I HATEEEEE even the site of the Triboro, LOL. I love the bridge (I grew up about 5 blocks away, I said that already didnt I ?? ) but I DREAD the SLOOWWWW traffic jam ! Im wondering if we should try to take the ferry after all work something out where we pick up mom and MIL the night b4 ??
HEather, LOL - I can be a social bug every day of the week ! Since we just got back from Lake George, and John has off the rest of the week, I made sure to try to stick on some more THINGS TO DO, and there are some family members that we really OWE visits to !
Im the type of person that would (and have done b4 I met him) take a flight out an hour after work and get back the morning I have to be at work John is the TOTAL opposite, he was looking more forward to his FREE TIME AFTER LAke George than he was to Lake George! LOL He just wants that time to 'work on the house' and of course 'just relax'...
IM refraining (and have said 'no' to several plans for this weekend, just to let him have his HOME TIME....but who says, I have to be home too ?? LOL)
