Re: anyone else...

My brother never went on a honeymoon. He's a teacher and got married in November. They were going to wait until the next summer to go, but she was already pregnant.

I'm going on a honeymoon, but I've never been on a vacation before. And since we hope to get pregnant soon after, I might never go on a vacation again.

Hi Lynn

we're not really going on a honeymoon after the wedding. we are waiting until June to go to the World Cup.

I know they have a waiting time in the P.O. and then there is seniority issues so it's hard. as long as you do special things for each other, say the week of, like maybe pic the top 5 places you would like to go, and go out to eat in that type of restaurant the week after the wedding, maybe that will add to the feeling. Maybe it sounds lame. but you should do as much as you can to make that time special.

ex.

Rome= Italian rest.
Thailand= Thai rest.
Puerto Rico= carribean spanish rest.
Spain- Spanish rest.

maybe you could even light some candles, run the bath, and order in...

the point is to enjoy. sorry I blabbed on and on!

Maybe you can just do like a Mimi-Honeymoon. You don't have to go all out crazy, just something that'll me just the 2 of you making memories to start your marriage off!. You might even consider staying on LI, but checking into a nice hotel for the weekend. You can always go to Ireland later, when the time is right for you both. But that doesn't mean you can't do ANYTHING special! Good Luck!!
