Original post by davenjess

Is anyone else having sleeping problems????

I slept like 3 hours on Sunday night....and last night I had issues as well...i think i slept maybe 4 hours...

I've tried: Ambien, Unisom, Generic over the couner sleeping pill, Nyquill and many other things I can't think of.

Seriously.....i can't be the only one...

What works for you????

I used to have sleeping problems a couple of years ago, like 3 years ago. I couldnt sleep for nothing. Now I go to sleep at 11 and dont wake up until 730.

Jess it is definately stress related and the more you think about it the harder it is to sleep (it becomes a mental game). I get like this all the time for work and the second the stresses eases a little I pass out and could sleep for days straight -- it is NOT good.

I try and stay away from meds but my friend swears by Lunesta. It takes a few nights she said but then it works like a charm.

Talk to your doctor -- they will give you a prescription for just a few months to get you through the wedding and they are non-habit forming so you should be able to come right off of them.

You are very right....they say when you can't sleep - you should get up and not try to sleep - but do something else instead of tossing and turning, but it's hard...

I have the prescription for Ambien and i see that doc next week. I'll see what she suggests..

Tilde - going to write your FM RIGHT now....i'm so sorry...

nothing was working for me either. yesterday i slept 3 hours, woke up, worked on the monogram and than got 4 hours.

and im still exhausted!!

i even tried to drink a little much on tuesday at the daughtry concert figuring i'd pass out -- no such luck.

I used to take 'Calms Forte' is was a natural sleep aide but worked amazing! It also helps if you are feeling stressed or anxious...you take 1-2 for stress/anxiety then 3 if you want to use it for a sleep aide. I definitely recommend them!

where do you get this? GNC?

i am a total insomniac...
i take benedryl before bed b/c i have awful allergies, it does help me sleep some nights...others it does nothing.

i've had a hard time finding something that doesnt make me a drooling zombie for hours the next day

um - but i kinda like the drooling zombie look on you!!!!

I tend to find that nothing works - so there's no true 'day after' issues for me.

Ive always had sleep problems. I dont have a remedy. Just stay up until I get tired. Once I fall asleep I dont have a problem though, its falling asleep that gives me a hard time.

I have just the opposite problem... I cant stay awake!!

AS someone said before, allergy meds made me soooo sleepy. Benadryl, Zyrtec, or even a muscle relaxer like Flexaril might help. Make sure the room your in is dark and quiet too, like with no TV or outside lights coming in.
