With the holidays a bunch of girls I know are announcing their engagement.
I sorta miss that new excitement.

I didn't get married around the holidays, so it is not effecting me as much. I can see how you can miss that personal excitement though.
Getting in engaged for me was so surreal.

no dont get me wrong, i'm glad we are almost there date twin. I'm ready to be hitched, but there is nostalgia for that first bit of romance and excitement in being engaged

hmm, not really, i think ill miss it after the wedding. I just cant wait to get our new home ready etc. but after all that i will def miss being the ' newly engaged couple' i had an AMAZING experience and i'll never forget the proposal and everything else. our families were great to us too! =)

I know what you're saying, and I didn't even get engaged around the holidays, but I remember feeling overwhelmed around that time too. I know a lot more, and feel comfortable with the planning process now. So that's a plus!

I will DEF miss it! I miss it already so many people got engaged but I cannot wait until the big day also and to finally live with FH and finally start our lives together! Just think you will have this excitment one more time and that is when you are pregnant!

you are right, i know as soon as we are married the 'when are you having a baby' questions will start
then i can think of fun ways to pop the news to everyone :)

i am so glad that you posted this- nice to know other girls feel the same way- i didn't get engaged around the holidays, but found myself a lil bummed hearing about everyone who got engaged recently because i feel like i didn't get to really enjoy that time because i got engaged 1 week prior to moving and lived apart from my FH for 3 months so i never got that newly engaged excitement with my FH

Nope I dont miss it I guess being engaged 2 years and I just want the wedding here already so i can go back to somewhat of a normal lifestyle. It was fun but Im exhausted

not really i got engaged in june. This is also the second wedding in planned in 3 years I just hope it goes through last one was called off the month before. At this point I just want the planning over with Im done with getting stressed. I am happy for the new girls but I just want to get to the wedding

i know what you mean naomi! i got engaged last december, and i remember how exciting it was - i was like floating on cloud nine...it's just that we'll miss that feeling - we'll never be 'newly engaged' again! we'll be old married ladies haha
anyway, i totally get what you mean. i'm just trying to enjoy everything while it lasts because the weddings will be here sooner than we know it!

i didn't get enagged around the holidays but i can see all the new girls who are joining and being so excited about just starting this whole new journey! i'm just excited its almost 2011 and that we are next. i can't wait to start seeing all of our 2011 brides post up their wedding pics and reviews!
