Anyone else buy a house and plan your wedding at the same time?
Our wedding is in 17 days and we have been house hunting at the same time. It is overwhelming to say the least but we are anxious to have a house after 7 years of renting.
Anyone else?

Didn't house hunt...but apartment hunted! I was loving in DC and DH was finishing up his MBA in Ithaca, and we had to find a place in NY and move everything there before the wedding. 3 weeks before my wedding, I was finishing up work in DC and living on my friend's couch with all my stuff having been moved to NY

we closed on our house about 3 months before the wedding so i was able to separate the two but for a while, it was wedding and house things at the same time and it drove my crazy! IMO, 17 days to go, focus on the wedding and pick up where you left off with the house after the wedding

We were house hunting but when we hadn't found anything by about 2 weeks before the wedding we stopped - I knew that if we found something then, I would never be able to deal with negotiating, going to contract, etc. right before the wedding. Since we've been back from our HM we're back to looking - its fun, but also frustrating sometimes. Good luck!
