For you that don’t know, NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month, which is November. Basically, you have to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. Anyone else on here a writing geek like me? I tried last year but didn’t make the 50,000 words but this year, I’m on it!

no but seriously, I wish I had enough creativity to bust out 50,000 words. Jesus. That just sounds insane. Good luck!

Do you actually have to finish a novel or just write 50,000 words OF a novel? I am working on something but it certainly won't be finished in November ....
And how many pages is 50,000 words anyhow???

i did it a few years ago, but i've been too stressed out to do it recently. maybe i'll give it a go this year. it can be a novel about a bridezilla who's losing her mind right??

The idea is that the 50,000 words are a complete novel, but meh, rules were made for breaking! Last year I tried to do 50,000 words on an idea that had been percolating for a while, and it just didn’t work. So far, I’ve only got about 800 words. Ah!
As for pages, my only guess: a lot!

Ah, I love you Cols! It’s something you can do in Kansas! If I can’t do it this month, I’m fully dedicated to doing it again next month when I’m stuck in the frozen tundra of Sweden.

Haha, of course! Us nutty bridezillas need someone to step forward with a novel that defines us!
