I have been on this site almost everyday for about a month now, but I feel like I'm an outsider. I read so many posts but I don't comment on many of them. I will explain...it seems like everyone on here has a good relationship with each other and I feel like I shouldn't comment because people don't know who I am and I don't want to step on toes (hope u know what I mean)..just wondering if anyone else feels this way? or has felt this way in the past? or I am I just a weirdo??

It is easy to feel that in the beginning. But we welcome everyone. Comment whenever you feel to. We are here to help everyone. Some of us girls have been on here for awhile and soon you will feel the same way.

There are a lot of girls on this site who know each other and I don't know any, but I think people look for opinions from others who they are not close with and thats why they come on here. I wouldn't feel like you are stepping on toes, I think everyone would like if you commented and put your knowledge for a topic into conversation.

You shouldn't feel like that at all! Everyone has been in your position as a 'wedding newbie'. the only way you will get to 'know anyone is by engaging in posts. All opinions are welcome!!! Don't be shy....FYI you get a cool LIWEddings t-shirt once you hit 1,000 posts....with that said....get to posting!!!
ETA: I'm not even from LI...I'm from Westchester...I have never met anyone on here in person...but I have been fortunate to build some great relationships on this site!

I felt the same way when I started out. And then one of the brides started a thread with a title like, 'What LIW brides did you know before LIW?' and NO ONE knew ANYONE. Like, maybe one or two girls had a cousin on the 06 boards or something, but that was it. So then I realized... people are such good friends on this board because they GOT that way from posting here. Made me want to post a lot more!
Moral of the story is - hope we're not intimidating! We were all newbies once and didn't know anybody. Why don't you come to one of our GTGs, start putting faces to names? That might make it more fun for you.

I feel that way at times... especially when I get busy with school or work and don't get on here much... but I try my best to help out and comment whenever I can... I know that I love when all of you help me out, so I try to help out as well!

I totally know how you feel. I feeel the same way to. I've been on this site for a couple of weeks now just reading and posting here and there.
The girls seems to have a really nice relationship with each other so I am afraid to impose on them.

I feel the same way! It is probably my fault though because I generally don't comment on anything personal and because I am totally technologically inept, I have no pics or anything on here. But, hopefully I can help someone out a bit here or there - I know I've gotten some good advice.

i know how you feel too...i felt that way at first for sure. in fact, it took me a while to even sign up. i got engaged in january and didnt sign until april. guess i just wanted to get a feel first and didnt know when was the right time to jump into a conversation. i want to post pics too, but i'm not tech savvy at all!! i'll start an album soon, i'll have fh help.
but now....so glad, happy, excited, that i joined!!! i've learned so much from this site and you girls are awesome! thanks!

Honestly if the newbies just put pics up and more information about themselves and their wedding, I think that would help so much in getting to know all the new brides to be!
You should comment to get your posts up, honestly i dont think there are alot of 'cliques' but there are maybe 1 or 2 on the 08 boards. Not really sure cause im not a part of them!!! But it doesnt stop me from posting, and it shoudlnt stop you either!

i feel that way from time to time, but i still post my replies, hoping i don't bother anyone. and i post looking for help and the ladies here are very supportive.
i really hope i get to build some 'friendships' here that could hopefully be Friendships without the quotes one day. if it happens awesome! if not... it wont be the end of the world.
i think that the 'cliques' that are on this board... aren't so much cliques like in high school... i'm intimidated, but not afraid to approach... if that makes any sense.
