I just got my braces off and trying the whitestrips. The only thing that bothers me is the size of my two front teeth. Their HUGE compared to my other teeth and the slant out (I feel like a chipmunk!). My orthodontist told me that he can't shape them anymore to make them smaller. Is their an inexpensive option like bonding or something? I think I can spend another thousand or so but nothing too much higher than that. Anyone else have the same experience?

Re: Anyone else fixing their teeth for the wedding?
I have lots of problems with my teeth, and they are inherited. My mom has more problems than I could ever tell you about. I am hoping to get them fixed before the wedding, too. I need a few pulled out, so I am nervous. I want to have a great smile for my pics of course. Good luck.

I'm surprised the braces didn't fix that! I used to have huge buck teeth (front two teeth) when I was a kid. Had braces for 2 years and now my front two teeth look totally normal. But, yep, I'm definitely whitening my teeth in time for the wedding!

Re: Anyone else fixing their teeth for the wedding?
i have problem with my teeth, the front two are bigger than the rest...and slant so there is a space.. my dentist told me 'you could have your teeth capped'.. no rootcanal or post needed so it was going to be something like 325 a tooth, and he wanted the four front teeth, so that they could be all made to the right size.... so it would have been like 1300...

About 4 days before our wedding day, DH and I went to the dentist for a cleaning and whitening. We didn't have any special comestics done.

I had my braces put on about 1 year before the wedding, they were taken off 1 week before the wedding and than I had the Brite Smile done (it only takes an hour) and when I got back from my HM my braces were put back on

I had my braces taken off. FH planned on having his teeth whitened. I wanted to do a bonding but my dentist sais I didn't need it so I guess I will justbe having my teeth cleaned and polished for the big day.

I had my braces taken off about a year ago. I had the invislign, which are great if your self-concious about being older with braces and they come on and off like a retainer so you can take pictures and pop them back in at the end of the night. There are posters up for Veniers (sp?) at the orthodontist office which are supposed to be an alternative to braces--kinda like caps or bonding I think.

Same here. I would like veniers, but my dentist told me no because of the overcrowding in my mouth they will shift. He told me I will need braces. I have to get my wisdom teeth removed and four additional teeth removed as well in order to get braces (I would get them behind my teeth) I just wouldn't be able to do that until the summer and I feel that would be too late. Plus the additional expense . . . so I don't know what I will do

How did the 'Bright Smile' work for you?
Big difference before and after?
What's the cost?

Bump! I, too, would love to hear from anyone who's done the in-office whitening stuff at a dentist. Wondering whether it's worth it or if I should just use the Whitestrips.
