153,000 for jewlery omg its crazy. Its so depressing seeing how much money they spend like its nothing!!!!!!!!!!

Yea i do too! What they spend on jewelry could be a down payment on a house!!!
When I watch Bridezillas I feel better about myself bc I do not freak out like those crazy biatches (yet) but when I watch the Platinum Brides I get all depressed.

ok so seriously....these plat. wedding brides are insane....the amount of money that is spent.....yeah the 150k necklace??? wow !!!
it gets a little annoying and when they show what they do for a living....student / entrepreneur / marketing consultant....throwing a 100k - 1Mil plus wedding - what am i doing wrong....
anyhow...the ponytail on the last one...tell me about it....a 10k Carolina gown and a ponytail...unreal.
then again...if i had that amount of $$$ to blow, would I've done the same....hmmmmm maybe

I can never sit through it. To see them spend that much money on one day for some reason drives me insane. My cousins father offered to give her a LARGE chunk for her wedding but she said no, and instead donated the money to three charaties!
i dont know. I just don't get it...

i dont get depressed, i like watching those shows! last night FH and were watching and i told him that i feel like our wedding is a platinum wedding ok, we all know its not BUT to ME it is - we are having everything that we want and i think its going to be such an amazing day....i've always known what we can afford and not afford and i think i have been pretty realistic but we still have been able to get everything we want....i dont know, when i picture our wedding in my head i cant believe that its going to be ours...those shows just make me wish that our day was sooner! it feels so far away!

you have to be insane to spend that much $ on a wedding. i'd rather have a huge house & a nice car. but i guess if you're that rich, people expect you to put on a good show.

Did you see the second episode with the wedding in Cabo San Lucas? $4500 on a cake? For $68 people? And it wasn't all that extravagant......

I don't let it get to me -- I was actually recently at a 6-figure wedding that didn't make me feel bad about the small amount I am spending on my own wedding, it made me feel great because of what I am getting for a fraction of the price!
FH and I actually got some flower ideas from watching one of these shows once. We decided to get rid of a flower vase on each table and instead the flowers seem to be 'sprouting' right from the table. Until we saw the show we didn't think of it.
