i get annoyed too....why not do something good with that money instead of spending over a milion dollars on one day?? use it to teach kids to read or health care for families....its a waste to me....
here we are trying to scrap together enough to pay the bills each month and these people spend 50K on a 10 min performance by circus clowns at their wedding!

It makes me think sometimes whether they exagerrate on the ammount they are actually spending just for the show. It also makes me think they over pay for alot of things for example that cake or in this specific episode she paid $5000 for a pony tail and a basic makeup application, not even airbrush.
As far as the show depressing me, Usually to me in this show although the people are spending alot of money, they seem genuinely in love, unlike other wedding shows. For the most part, it doesn't seem like they are flaunting because they don't come right out and say the price, this particular bride kept bringing the price up herself, so to me it looks tacky, especially if your overpaying....I love watching the show for ideas.

I get depressed sometimes. I especially hate it when they spend so much money on tacky things and the bride is a total B*TCH. So I try not to watch it. It only reminds me of how poor I am!

I don't know if I would say annoyed. I mean, I wish I had money to have some of the things they have, but at the same time, if I had that kind of a budget, I still don't think I could bring myself to spend $20,000 just on flowers...that's insane....they die lol. I couldn't do it.
But it is annoying when I see something I love, but know I can't have it.

I think people really overpay for weddings, and I was just at one where they spend thousands and thousands on flowers where if they were using a LIW vendor it would have probably been half price. If you don't know others getting married, you have no frame of reference so you don't know to negotiate or what stuff really should cost.

shows like that make me angry to be american since 5% of the people who live in this country control over 90% of the money. sometimes people spend $153,000 on jewelry, and sometimes little children in west virginia starve to death.

I like watching these shows for ideas mostly but dont really get depressed watching them. I think its totally crazy to spend that much on a 6 hour event!!! Put it towards a house or something....you know?

I used to be annoyed watching that show. It so over the top but now that I'm finally married I find this show it funny and entertaining.
You can really tell that they belong together. He's a rich (not so good looking) man looking for pretty chick and she's nobody looking for a rich man. No offend, its like buying your bride

honestly...i dont only because most of the couples are a mess! I see they way they talk to each other and fight about having things and I find it disgusting! I have only seen a handful of couples on that show that tryuly seem to be in love. I'd take my ordinary life over theirs any day!

thank you for all your input. Even though all you were doing was giving your opinions it def made me feel not so bad that we dont have as much money. I think it just gets me down b/c me and FH are paying for EVERYTHING ourselves. For the most part im ok with it and have accepted it but sometimes it gets me down, and watching shows like that def get me down sometimes. But you girls def made me feel a lot better thank you :):):)
