anyone else get like this???

My whole life i've had my fair share of medical issues. i've had surgeries, stitches, blood drawn (a cadrillion times) and no matter what i cant STAND the sight of blood. Whether its my own, or someone elses. I cant watch people get needles, i cant watch myself get needles. i get light headed and pass out (or come pretty close to it) i've had biopsies on things and almost passed out in the docs office too

i wish i wasnt like that cause i always said i'd like to be a doctor or nurse bc i'd love to help people.
FH got a massive cut on his finger, probably even needs stitches but he refuses to go to the hospital. its been bleeding through bandaids and he keeps just changing them thinking it will all stop. so he asked me to put a bandaid on for him..i almost threw up lol hes like *** are you doing!? i was like i have to lay down im getting light headed. he gets angry cause he thinks my children will be SOL when they get cuts and scrapes and he tells me hes not leaving work during the day to put a bandaid on my childs leg b/c i'm passed out on the floor somewhere hahah

anyone get like this or am i the only dumb ***

ETS: When it comes to your children...you will not have that reaction. You will be more likely to have that 'MOM SENSE' kick in and you will just do what you have to do.

i dont get like that but i know TONS of people who do so dont feel bad, i think this is a perfectly normal thing

whats strange is I can watch all those doctor/sugery shows on tv with no problem. i guess real life stuff is different? lol

one time i was getting blood taken and i was all done and the nurse said I was free to go. well i started walking out towards the waiting room where my mom was and i remember seeing my mom sitting there and the next thing i know i woke up on the floor with nurses and my mom screaming at me to wake up. then i ran and puked

soooooooooo strange and rather annoying and embarassing

lately I have been like this... which is VERY strange for me. I usually donate blood regularly... i have never had a problem with needles, blood or anything. last time I was at the lab getting blood taken though... while I was waiting I saw another guy getting his blood taken. I almost passed out. I got very light headed and ever since I cannot deal with the thought of blood, needles.. or anything. I don't know what is wrong with me

Don't be embarrassed, I am sure there are tons of people who this happens to. The only TV medical thing that freaks me out is eye surgery...I am getting quezzy just thinking about it!!!

well i used to donate blood and i'd be fine but then one day i went to get all my blood tests done, once i went to a dermatlogist, and another time i got a shot for school and i passed out. i just couldnt. so now when i go to the doc and they want to take blood or give me a shot i tell them to lay me down,
and i also passed out when i was sick at home one day. and when my sis got a nose job and i had to take care of her for like 4 hrs i thought i was going to pass out also, my knees were all cottony and i had to sit.

so you are not a weirdo. do not worry.
there is more of us out there.

when my sisters BF was having an asthma attack she nearly fainted and had to lie down.

I am totally like this! I cant watch the needle go in...i cant even see it. I have to look away while they get it out and contine to have a full conversation with myself out loud while they do it....but i get lightheaded anyway!!!

I was at LIJ 2 weeks ago and I had to get 9 viles of blood taken - and the nurse couldnt find a vein - which is funny, bc i have been goin for blood almost every 2 weeks - she had my arm in the tournaquit for almost 10 mins - im purple and then takes blood. I was OUT! I woke up to Jason in my room with me.

I cant watch anyone get punctured either...i go white and im out!
