I got a call on my cell phone today from a company saying that I won some prizes from when I went to a bridal showcase. They said I've been selected for...
1. a 3 day trip to Florida, Nevada, or California 2. a $500 gift certificate to some wedding favor store 3. 40% off a purchase from some housewares store online
SOUNDS LIKE A COME ON!!! To redeem them, I have to attend some other showcase tomorrow night in Huntington. What's the deal here? This has to be some kind of gimmick to get me to buy ginzu knives or something right?

Re: Anyone else get this phone call???
meo god we went!
waste of effing time
I mean they harass u to get thses pots that are like 700. When you say no like a million times they give u gift certificate to a hotel in 5 places...we got the gc and prob are not going to use it...SHADDDDDDY
Then they give u a gift certificate to www.freegiftsamerica.com we got one for $500 and there is POOP on that website and u have to pay shipping on these chinzy items...
seriously dont waste your time!
ps our friends went separate from us adn they were duped into getting the pots! me and the FH couldnt believe it , well anyway our friends went home and found the pot set on ebay for 1/4 of the price they paid. They tried to cancel and no luck they couldnt cancel the order so I believe they called the CC company and said not to authorize it...still not sure what happened with that...I will try to find out
BUT BEWARE!

Yes, I got the same call and I went to the place in Huntington. There were about 4 other couples that also shoed up. WIts all about pots and pans and three hours of listening to junk. 3 out of 4 couples including myself and FH left.

Re: Anyone else get this phone call???
I did it - they cook for you and do a demonstration - you just have to be able to say no thank you at the end - the $500 gift certificate is for an online store and has to be used all at once and does not include shipping so we gave it away. we havent tried to redeem the 3 day vacation so i cant comment on that.
it's totally up to you if you want to go - the products seem really great but they are extremely expensive - FH and I like to cook and really wanted the pots and knives but there thousands of dollars.

Oh god I got that one. You have to go to their store and listen to something about their cooking products. I dont have the patients for that crap.
