Anyone else getting tired of looking for a house?

Anyone else getting tired of looking for a house?

We didn't get the house that we put the offer on last week. Which is fine, we're ok with it. But we just went out again today and saw 6 more homes and they were all awful. This is so frustrating. We're going to take the rest of the week off looking at homes and start again next weekend. It's looking more and more like we may just resign our lease and wait until next year to get a house. We're both just tired of the whole process.

Sorry, just needed to vent.

Hang in there - you will find it!!!

It took my future in-laws months to find their house. We went out looking every weekend for hours on end. We saw 4-7 houses a day. It was grueling and depressing. None of the houses were 'the one.' Finally, after another disappointing day of searching, my father told me about a house that he saw that would be perfect for them. We went there that evening, and they are closing on it in October!!

Your house is out there waiting for you! Don't give up hope!

We've been looking since May and are going through the same thing!! We are 'inactively' continuing to look but will stay where we are if nothing comes along...

I totally understand how you feel House hunting is soooo stressful and really can take its toll on you. Hang in there, and remember - you don't have to like something just b/c a realtor says you should. Buying a home is an emotional decision, not a completely financial one (unless you are an investor, and you're just looking to dump a property for profit). You will know your house when you see it!

Good luck!

Hang in there! Like everyone says, your house is out there!!

We were driving through a neighborhood looking for a house I found online (realtor.com). We couldn't figure out which one it was, but we liked the feel of the neighborhood. We drove around and around the area and suddenly came across a home with a for sale sign in front. I took down the number, found out there was an open house the following week and...ta-da...five months later, we're here.

Claud is right, don't feel like you have to like something because the re agent thinks you should. That's their job...they'll try to convince you that any/every house you see is the one for you!!

Decide on your budget, and decide on the things that are important to you in a home. Eventually you'll find 'the one'

Good luck!!

Are you looking with a realtor? When we were house hunting, we used about 3 realtors, and they all showed us what we DIDN'T want! All we wanted was something waterfront...we didn't care what the house looked like, for all we cared, it could've been a one room cottage.....well, they all showed us homes across the street from the H2O, or something with a TINY waterview.

FInally, we stopped looking with realtors, and we just picked up as many of those Harmon homes magazines in the supermarket, and that's how we found the home we bought and love.

It'll happen for you!
