Anyone else going to the St. Edward's Pre Cana program this spring?

I just registered, and I was wondering if anyone else will be there?

Re: Anyone else going to the St. Edward's Pre Cana program this spring?

Hi - I'm getting married at St. Edward's next year. Is the pre-Cana a weekend session or a retreat? We haven't signed up yet, but will be doing a weekend option. I'm nervous about the pre-cana, wonder how strict the church is about wedding details.

we're doing the 5 week program, each Wednesday night at St. Edward's. We were going to do the weekend ones, but those are between $250 and $350! This one is only $50. And I think it's more personal. Why are you nervous?

Ah. My fiance works off hours, so anything during the week is out. I'm nervous by association because he is not religious at all and church related activities make him nervous! I'm also curious about what restrictions they have regarding music, decorations, etc.

Re: Anyone else going to the St. Edward's Pre Cana program this spring?

well, they're letting us play a Josh Groban song during the ceremony (the priest says it has some religious undertones, so they're ok with it), and they're letting us throw rose petals. I don't think they're one of the stricter churches.

My FH isn't crazy about all this either, but I think it will be good for us, as it is for all couples, I think. I'm looking forward to it!
