It's really not a big deal. It's only bothering me a little, I just wanted to know if I was the only one...
Did you have any guests who are bringing someone to the wedding, and decide to bring someone who is a friend of yours but who wasn't invited to the wedding?
I just feel like if I wanted so-and-so to be there, I would have invited him/her! I'm not making a big deal out of this...its not that I don't like these people or anything, I just feel like its a wedding guest faux-pas, no?

Re: Anyone else had this issue?
I know what you mean, and I had 1 person who has done this in the past and I was worried he'd do it at ours. Thankfully, he didn't because It's so AWKWARD. Like, isn't the guest embarassed to attend a wedding they clearly weren't invited to????
You're not wrong at all for feeling weird about it, but I'm sure you won't notice the person that day!!

Re: Anyone else had this issue?
this is happening to me too
one of my coworkers was invited with a guest (he has a girlfriend), but she cant come so he's bringing one of the male coworkers he's friends with that wasn't invited
needless to say it was a little awkward

Re: Anyone else had this issue?
this is exactly why i didn't want to write 'and guest' on the invites. i insisted on putting the persons significant other's name and FH was saying I was crazy but I still had ppl ask if they could bring random friends

i agree it would be a little akward, but again, your only going to see thispeople for a few random minute at a time on your wedding day and you'll forget about them after that, so don't stress sover it too much

That's another thing that bother me...one of these people was invited with her significant other by name! It turns out he CAN make it for the wedding but she had told me 'Oh, if Peter can't come then I'll just bring Alex!' and I'm like 'Ohhh [fake surprised laugh] okay.' I don't have a problem with Alex, he's a nice guy, but he's just not really my cup of tea. And I'm sure no wrongdoing was meant by it. It's really not the worst thing if he was to come, I just feel like 'You KNOW that he wasn't invited and you know I know him. Wouldn't I invite him if I wanted him there?'
