This is exactly why I don't go on a regular basis. I feel very uncomfortable when I go. I'll usually only go when it's an important occasion, like my Grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary in April, I'll probably get my nails done for that, but I'd never get my nails done for the heck of it.

I know what ya mean.....I go in every now and then for a manicure for my cuticles to be cut, b/c I can't do them that good......but every nail salon--seems to be a gossip colony--w/ the regulars......especially at the drying area....the moms who have ntohing else to do........but chit chat .LOL

Manicures I don't mind although I hate when they cut my cuticles. I'm always so nervous that they're going to score blood
Pedicures I don't like. I hate it when they scrub the bottoms of your feet!!!! And the last pedicure I got, the one woman looks at my feet and says something in another language to the other woman. She glances over and looks at my feet and then tries to hide a smile Yeah yeah I know I have monkey toes lady! Don't laugh at me!

In the begining, I loved it, then I started hating it, but then I realized I wasn't letting myself relax...now I mentally let myself get into it, daydream and relax and that has helped. We are all so busy do we every unwind and relax? Somtimes I wish the manis would take LONGER!

I do..now I only get manicures..but when I used to have tips,,I dreaded going to get them filled.
I always feel like they are talking about me!!
I hated getting mine filled..Complete torture!! and, I hate when they use that machine..that always hurt!

I like manicures......I just don't like sitting and waiting around, especially for my nails to dry. I used to get tips but that took forever. And I love having my nails short now. I love pedicures. You can catch up on tabloids.

I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE manicures and pedicures. I have a hard time with strangers touching me. And it ***** because I would LOVE to get a manicure, but it's just so weird. I don't like people doing things to me

I don't talk, I just try and relax. When I get a pedicure I just lean back and close my eyes or read a mag. If you don't want to talk, bring something to read - they will get the hint. Saturday I went for a spa pedicure and it was over an hour and absolutely wonderful! It was so relaxing.
