Bridetobe and the others, I have had SIL and MIL problems all through the planning too so I do understand. The wedding day and rehersal went super well, but the planning and the shower, etc.... they were so horrible. They thought the shower was about them and their family when I dont know most of their family and my mom was the host. It is very hard to forget. I did talk to my MIL on the phone yesterday and she was super nice to me, but all of the aggravation will always be there.

I have been blessed with 2 wonderful FSIL's BUT.....my best friend and MOH has the most evil FSIL....
She always has to be the center of attention... so she called my MOH and told her that she plans to be engaged by her wedding day and that maybe it will happen as close to a week before....(mind you she has only been dating this guy for a few months)
She is dying to steal all of the attention away from her wedding.....
UGH!

How about you just don't speak to the thing called a sister at all? I am just disgusted on her behavior, the hypocrite that she is, the lack of being a mother, the grow up and start acting like a responsible 28 year old not a teeny bopper still club hopping, the stop feeding off of your mother for everything, the liar.... I can go on for days on her.
I know many have said: make amends with her, kill her w/ kindness. My a** I will give someone respect when I don't get it back. Why am I going to waste my time on someone I just don't care for? Someone I will NEVER consider family? She is the bad seed in FH's family. I tell him she must have been adopted. I don't want her at the eparty, the bridal shower or the wedding. FH and I agree on this. He doesn't speak to her either. To make his mother happy she will be at the wedding-God forbid the rest of the family wonders why she is not there. But we are refusing to pay for her plate! Our hard earned money is not going to feed her fat a**!!!

Re: Anyone else have a overly dramatic FSIL?

So sad that many of us have horror stories. When we first got engaged my FSIL told us she couldnt be happy for us right now because she was upset. Ok let that one slide. My FH had big fight with her which caused her to back out of being in Bridal Party, then I guess her ohter personality kicked in a she said she never said she wasnt going to be in it.

Then we had to go looking for dresses another fight because her schedule is so busy, we had to book her time 2 months in advance. Then she finally orders the dress and calls me to tell me that she is not paying the $25 delivery fee and if I could pick up the dress. So I called and asked her what does she want me to do with the dress, hold it until the wedding. I told her to give me a break and that I would glady refund her the money for the dress, if she was having second thoughts. And then her nice personality came out. 'Oh no, I dont mean to cause any problems. Ok'

I am sure there is more to come. Im actually looking forward to sticking it to her.

Thanks for letting me vent.
