Anyone else having a hard time finding a Shower/RD dress?**Went looking today with NO luck!

I'm beginning to think that I am never going to find a dress I like! I have searched around so many places. Is anyone else having a hard time?

Do you have in mind what you want to wear, or you have no idea? I find two really great dresses at White House Black Market last week.

I stressed and stressed over a shower dress, and I didnt even end up putting it on! My shower was a surprise and I was late so I didnt want to miss a minute of my shower, so I ended up keeping my jeans on lol. I ended up finding one at Mandees which I am returning

That's my problem...I have something in mind and can't find it! I just feel like dresses are cut so weird nowadays. Either they are super short or cut in a way that makes me look preggers!

Re: Anyone else having a hard time finding a Shower/RD dress?

I had some trouble. I bought ans returned one dress from J Crew and one from Macy's. I ended up with one from the BCBG outlet.

Re: Anyone else having a hard time finding a Shower/RD dress?

I actually went out today to find my shower dress - and came home empty handed.

I bought the perfect rehearsal dinner dress at a store in downtown sayville. I can't find a pic of it online.

I went to every store in the south shore mall and kohls today for a shower dress and got nothing. I want to buy the dress, give it to my mom, be surprised at my shower, and change into it...

I don't know where to look now.

Re: Anyone else having a hard time finding a Shower/RD dress?

I'm not sure how much you want to spend, but Nordstroms has some gorgeous dresses. Are you looking for a black/white dress or something with more color to it. This is more of a casual dress, but I found it online at Nordstroms...119 dollars.

Re: Anyone else having a hard time finding a Shower/RD dress?

What are you looking for? I saw a cute white dress at White House Black Market (and a few other cute dresses.) I posted a pic of the white dress about two days ago. Dress Barn which has this reputation for being an old persons store (but is so NOT) has a ton of cute dresses if you go to the larger stores. I have just bought a bunch of honeymoon dresses and my shower dress.

Re: Anyone else having a hard time finding a Shower/RD dress?

This first dress is what I really wanted to get, but it was over 200 dollars. Then, I found this second dress, but waited too long and now Nordstroms only has it in big sizes. So, I think I am going to wear this dress that I bought last year. It's really pretty and the only person who has seen me in it is my MOH b/c I wore it on our cruise together last summer.

ITA about Dress Barn! I felt the same way until last year my mom dragged me there and I couldn't BELIEVE the cute stuff they had! I have to date bought three dresses and a bunch of tops from there as well. I always recommend going there for ladies looking for dresses!

I just picked up this from Spiegel.com yesterday, but I never purchased from them before, so I am not sure how it is going to fit/look in person.

I have a ton of Dress Barn clothes and I get compliments on my dresses and tops from there ALL the time. My e-party dress was from Dress Barn and I have some amazingly cute tops from there. Even pants. I bought pants for student teaching there and I have gotten compliments on them too. I highly recommend it, but its hit or miss. Sometimes you go in and its all older, other times my mom can't shop there and I clean up. It also depends on the store, each store picks what they will and will not carry.

Re: Anyone else having a hard time finding a Shower/RD dress?

yeah so i'm officially OVER finding a dress! I shopped for hours today, tried on a ton of dresses and hated every one of them!!! I even went into stores that I never go in, just to keep an open mind. Maybe I should just buy fabric, get out the ole sewing kit and make my own dress!
