Anyone else having uneven bridal party?

Anyone else having uneven bridal party?

My FH wants to add on a friend but I am not adding anyone because my girls dresses were ordered a couple of months ago and they had to be ordered together to have the same exact color dye. We figured we would have 2 guys walk down with one bm. Thats how its usually done, right?

It's probably better to have one guy walk two girls down the aisle. That's what we had to do -- we had even numbers but because of 9/11 (we got married 9/15) we had four groomsmen and 1 BM who didn't make it to the weding. So we had two GM each walk two BM and the rest were one on one. It was just fine. And usually your MOH walk by herself anyway.

I have 4 GMs and 3 BMs.

While I would have preferred symetry, it was more important to have those really important to us included.

Or have the groomsmen all come in first and then have each BM walk in by herself. We did that at the two weddings I was in.
Sorry I realize now that you'd have too many guys so the one guy two BM thing wont work so well.

Thanks for the replies. I'll see which FH likes best.

We have 2 best men and a maid of honor. The guys will wait at the end of the aisle with FH & the MOH will walk up the aisle before me. For the recessional I am gusseing the MOH will walk out a step in front of the 2 best men.

We are having 7 GM and 6 BM. I think we are going to have his Best Man (FH's brother) up at the front with him while everyone else walks down in pairs. I know that usually the MOH walks down by herself but I think instead I will have my brother who is a GM walk her down. I spoke to my MOH about this and she said she would actually like this better because she gets really nervous when all eyes are just on her. Then she will have 2 GM walk her out (both of our brothers).

Do what makes you happy and I wouldn't worry about it being uneven, it will all work out.

I am uneven 4:6, but we worked it out...

that one is now our officiant

and then one of my BM walks with 2 GM...she doesn't mind this at all..

another solution we thought of was to have a GM walk my mother down the aisle...but my mom doesn't really know any of FHs friends well...so she didn't feel comfortable and my FBIL is walking her down...

uneven here too-and it keeps changing. i went from 6 guys and 7 girls to 6 guys and 3 (or 4 girls) I am not sure yet. My big mistake was when I first got engaged I was so excired and asked the wrong people, luckily 1 dropped out, my other was a cousin who we aren't speaking anymore and one who i am slowly losing touch with.
So if i have 6 guys and 3 girls, fine by me! I'll have one girl walk in the middle of 2 guys at church and at the reception, have the 'uneven people' dance with their dates

I am having an uneven bridal party. I am having the 2 Jr. ushers walk the 1 Jr. BM up the aisle, and then my brother walk my SIL and Sister. I think it will work out very nicely.
My girls are walking down the ailse alone though. The guys will already be waiting at the alter.

I am having 8 BM and 6 GM. I am only having the girls walk down the aisle, one by one. The GM will then wait up front with the Groom. My friend did it this way and it looked great. Good Luck!
