Anyone else Heard of this before?

Anyone else Heard of this before?

my BM are all scattered. i was giving them the option of ordering the dress for them from one store and i would deliver it to each of them once it was in because i keep hearing that if the dresses are ordered from different stores that they are cut from different bolts of fabric and the color may not match perfectly.
is this true? if this is the case, then how do those retail chains like Davids Bridal do this and make the colors all look the same?
Now i'm stressed that the colors won't look the same if they order it from different stores!

That is possible, from what I have heard. My FSIL who lives OOS was told this by the store she went to. She decided it was best to order from the same store where the girls ordered from, and then they shipped it down as soon as it came in. No problems whatsoever!

We used Bill Levkoff dresses from Centereach Bridal.

my cousin actually works for bill levkoff so i know the whole process.

the only way they can guarantee that they are cut from the same dye lot is if they are ordered at the same time.

i know if you picked a store, told everybody they had to go there and get fit by a deadline, they wait till they have the full order and place it.

Yup, it is true. I have a bridesmaid that lives in London, so she has to call her measurements in and then I will send her the dress. While the dye lots may not be THAT much off, it could be just a tiny bit and look a little off when you look closely in pictures. I'm not taking any chances.

Yes it is true... They have to be ordered at the same time in one batch. Otherwise there is no way to guarantee that the dye will come out 100% exact.

i also heard this was true. i heard that that the fabric color and dye wont be the same if the dresses are ordered from different stores.

I say, pick one day, have all the girls go with you together and just get the dresses. If there are girls who are out of town, then have them send you the money earlier or later after you buy the dresses. I was in wedding in boston and I couldnt make it up there to buy my BM dress so the bride bought my dress and I paid her back. That way the color is certain to be the same.

Good luck
