anyone else Jewish, marrying a Catholic man who is converting

I just got engaged last night and my boyfriend (doh, I mean fiance) is converting to Judaism (as I am Jewish). I just wanted to throw out this topic and see if anyone else is or has been or knows someone who has been in a similar situation. . .any advice? any concerns? any questions yourself?

Yes. My family belongs to Reconstructionist Congregation Beth Emeth on the south shore. The rabbi there is taking him through it. But, it's tough b/c he's in law school, too, so there isn't a lot of free time. But, he is an avid reader which seems to be a necessity to the process. How long did it take your fiance? What sect of Judaism did he convert to?

That's great! It is a conservative conversion. It took a couple of months.
