My FI thinks I am whacked b/c I enjoy reading true crime stories especially Ann Rule. Does anyone else like these? Who is your favorite author? Always up for a good crime book.

Shandra, I'm with you all the way! I just finished Ann Rule's book about the Green River Killer...it was great! I've read a bunch of her books. I've also read two books by Dr. Michael Baden, the former Chief Medical Examiner of NYC...I can't remember their names, but they were really good too. Look them up on Amazon.com when you have a chance.

I like Ann Rule books a lot too as well as true crime. My library doesn't have a ton of them though. I do think it's a little morbid that I like these books, but they are very interesting.

I would have to agree with the morbid point. But I can't help but wonder how these people come up with half the things that they do and then think they are going to get away with them

I love true crime which is probably why I am addicted to Forsenic files, cold case files and all these other forensic science shows. I find these people who commit these crimes fascinating. Sometimes they can seem so normal. I really enjoy Ann Rule. DH bought me a great book called Anyone you want me to be. It was about the first internet serial killer, it was very good. I can't remember the author's name but I would definitely recommend it.

I don't like them but one of my friends LOVES LOVES LOVES them! Everytime I see her she loans me a stack of them and I always give them back unread. I've tried to read them but they do nothing for me.

I LOVE Ann Rule books~!! I am obsessed with Forensic Files as well. After reading true crime books, it is hard for me to read fiction.

I love all of her books, although I especially enjoyed the I-5 Killer and The Stranger Beside Me (so weird she was friends with Ted Bundy).
Does anyone else get weird reactions from people when they find out you like true crime? Nobody really understands my fascination with it, including myself.

I read Kiss Me, Kill Me and have to say, not one of my favorites from her. I usually LOVE all of her books, but this one wasn't as good as the others. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed it, but not as much as the others.
Let us know how Blood Brother is, that sounds good.

I love true crime movies, shows and books too! I am mesmerized with forensic files and cold cases (and CSI lol)
I just started Against her will by Ronald J Watkins. It is the story about the Kelly Tinyes Murder. This poor girl lived 7 blocks from where I used to live and I remember so much about her murder. I saw the book in the store and figured i would read it Scott
