I am moving in a month and I am a human stress-ball! I made a 4-page bullet-point list of things that my FI and I need to do/buy (I'm driving him nuts! ) I feel overwhelmed. I've moved twice before but this is the first time my FH and I will live together. I am excited too, don't get me wrong, but also STRESSED OUT. Sorry, just needed to vent, thanks!

I'm starting the process - but no set timeline yet. Just trying to prep for it - FH and I plan to move in the next 3 months.
Whats on your list? I'm worried that I'm missing something!

Have to change my address for magazines, credit cards, sign up for services, disconnect services, plus I'm moving in stages so that makes it a little more crazy!

The same thing happened to me- we moved in together (1st time living together) 2 weeks before the wedding! All I can say is if I got through it- you will....

Talk about being stressed out! Here is my to do list:
Move from DC to NY (We find out tonight if we got the apt we saw this past weekend)
Look for job in NY- I have an interview on Monday!
Finish planning wedding.
FH begins new internship in Brooklyn on July 1
July 12 - get married!!!

Jess, how did you manage to get such a big list. Isn't all you have to do is pack, move and advise all service providers/cc companies of your move?
I have moved 3 times over the past 4 years, and found it pretty painless... Sorry, but I hope you'll get the move simplified.

I am so glad to know that I am not the only one who feels crazy about moving!!! We are getting ready to sign the contract on our co-op and have run into a few snags along the way. I have to move from my place into FH place and then 2 weeks later we get to move into our new home. I have been boxing and disassembling for a week now. My place is a mess and I think I am going to lose my mind. I just keep telling myself that now my FH does not have to leave me every night to go home.

It's good to see I'm not alone. I actually never had a list this long, but I put down everything we have to do & buy, plus what is being moved the first round & second round which is why it's so long. I'm spending too much time on this and getting way too organized with this stuff, maybe I need to go back to watching reality TV!!

Best of Luck it really isn't that bad.
Dh and I got married 9-27-02 Moved to Pensacola, Florida 10-27-02 Are will find out on the 15th if we are moving to Corpus, Texas or Enid, Oklahoma this July!
It's crazy, but fun!
Just make sure two weeks prior to fill out the forms to get your mail fowarded to your new address, the post office will do it for up to a year, also change your IRS info so any W-2 go to your new address.
Don't forget to change loan info, credit card, magazine, favorite catalog, (most can easily be done online)
