Not that I have anything to be sad about this year...but I usually find New Year's Eve/Day to be depressing.

My dad always depresses me when he calls it 'amateur night'!!!!! But hey, I come from an irish family!!!!!

it makes me nervous late at night when everyone is driving home... but other than that i like it i used to hate it when i was single and derpressed and alone..........

We usually go to friends parties for New Years!!! I always notice there are way too many bodies laying around in both the living room and bedrooms!!!! Everyone has the same idea!!!!

I don't get depressed, I think it's exciting that a new year is coming, I'm just not a fan of the big huge parties. we usually celebrate quietly with family or friends. We prefer the little GTG's rather than a huge party. although, this year will be the most exciting because it is our WEDDING year:) evert other year, I can take it or leave it. I, too HATE driving or having loved ones out on the road that night.

I don't get sad or depressed. I just think that there is so much emphasis on doing something to ring in the New Year. In my 20's, I felt the pressure of having plans for New Year's Eve, and stressed out over it. It's just another evening.

I just don't find it exciting anymore, like I did when teenager/early 20's. DH always has to work, so to us it's just another night. Plus, I hate driving on the roads with people out and drinking.

Nora, I'm so sorry to hear that!
It's our anniversary, so it's a happy occasion for us, but we are so looking forward to having a new anniversary. It's SO expensive to do things out of the house on NYE. Last year I made a gourmet feast at home for a third of the price of the same meal out, and this year we're going to the Poconos just to get away. No big parties or anything anymore for us.

I used to LOVE newyears... I dont know how I survived some new years eve bashes... And then when I started to not go out on new years eve I was SHOCKED that on New Years day stores were open!!! I was usually in some DARK hungover state and I never went out..
This year is going to be GREAT, just me and frank and the pups at home doing absolutly NOTHING!!!

Nora I am sorry to hear that too.
I am not really a big partier or anything like that. I was when I was younger but not anymore. Danielle and I are going to a party at her friends mothers house...which will be fun. It really wouldnt phase me if we went out that night or stayed home. If it was up to me I would stay home and watch the ball drop on tv. I hate driving on New Years eve...Some years when I was single, I would be asleep before midnight....
