Is anyone else considering not doing a bustle? My dress finishes all in tulle and the top half is all beaded.. so my mom and my BM told me not to bustle it.. I think it will look weird to bustle it because its tulle ... what do you girls think?
But is is pretty long - how are you going to dance in it?
I would talk to the salon where you got the dress and the person doing alterations. They probably know how to bustle this type of dress in a nice way. No offense, but I am sure your mom and your BM do not frequently alter wedding dresses! If the salon tells you that you do not bustle this type of dress, then there you go, but they might know how to do it.

i agree, i think it will be hard for you to dance and ppl will be stepping all over your train. Ask your seamstress for suggestions.

Mine is all organza ... and then it fish-tails in the back... the girls at the salon are going to make an awesome bustle for me... def. talk to them... you won't want everyone walking all over your gown all night...

Oh... well the dress isnt altered yet lol ... and Im 4'11 So in the pic its super long but Im getting it shortened... I got it at Kleinfelds so i will ask their opinion.

I think you should bustle it. Otherwise, people will be stepping on your dress all night! And dragging it behind you will just be annoying.
I am not doing a bustle, but only b/c I have a removable train!

I think they can find a way to make a nice bustle! My dress is lots of layers of lace, and they found a way to do mine that looks nice. I think you will have trouble dancing if you dont bustle!
