I feel like im the only one everyone around me is going away or doing big expensive things... we just cant afford to spend alot of $$$

We're home watching TV (well, I'm on here) - we picked up Italian take-out and exchanged cards & candy.
I don't think we're ever had 'big' Valentine's Day plans & I don't mind one bit ... it's really not important.
All I want or expect is a card.

We just cam back from dinner. Nothing special. we are going to Mohegan Sun tomorrow, so we have to rest up for the big day of gambling!

I think it V-day is just a money making hallmark holiday , so I never celebrate it.
I agree with you 100% Do you believe I know a girl who spent $500 on her boyfriend for V-day how ridiculous is that!

fH ORDERED MY FAVORITE TAKEOUT AND RENTED A COUPLE OF DVD'S. HE BOUGHT ME FLOWERS AND CANDY SINCE WE DECIDED THAT WE WEREN'T DOING GIFTS THIS YEAR. i AM RECOVERING FROM KNEE SURGERY, SO HE TOOK ME OUT FOR DINNER ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT. SINE WE COULDN'T GO OUT FOR V-DAY. BUT HE HAS BEEN WAITING ON ME HAND AND FOOT , ITS THE LITTLE THINGS THAT MEAN MORE THAN THE GIFTS.
