Tell me about it ... we're BROKER than BROKE and trying not to spend any extra money on things, esp gifts for each other.

Meanwhile FH splurged and sent roses to my office today, even when I told him not to! But I still loved that he thought of me nonetheless! He's the best

Tomorrow we are doing NOTHING, don't feel bad! We offered to babysit my new nephew (2 months old!) and let my brother and SIL go out for a nice romantic dinner. We'll order in and just watch movies... mostly likely I'll hop online at some point!!!

Just a typical evening for us

We arent doing anything either first because of money and the second because we have his daughter this weekend.

We are not doing one single thing (well ok maybe one thing) I have planned v-day every year. I threw in the towel this year. I don't expect anything. My FI is not very romantic I still love him though

We are doing nothing. i got him some inexpensive chocolates and am making him chocolate waffles as a treat.
Don't know what he got me but we never spend more than $20 each and especially this year - we can't afford anything big.
I think I will make dinner tomorrow as usual.
FI seems to be getting the flu so we are in all weekend I bet.
No big deal to me

Allison I can relate about the Romance dept.
I expect nothing as well And yes this is an ongoing problem I would love to know how you deal with this because I take this to heart

I got you all beat. I have to go to work. Well, not until 6pm, but I would have loved to spend the whole day with L. I know we'll have a great time with the time we have.

We don't have anything too exciting planned, we just like to be together. We're going to go out for breakfast, then who knows what the day will bring along.

Doesn't really matter what we do, as long as it's each other...I mean, it's with each other.

Hey Allure, maybe drop him a few hints, that planning something would be nice? Or better yet, why don't you plan something special, and surprise him with it. You can say, 'Now wasn't this a nice thing for me to do? Next time, it's your turn!'

We aren't doing anything either- have to save for the wedding!
I told my FI I just wanted a card.

We are just going out to dinner, and it's not a fancy restaurant. It's nice but not fancy or romantic (well a bit I guess).

I don't mind.

we're not doing anything either. FH asked me what I wanted to do but I told him I'd rather just stay home. I'd rather not deal with dealing with the crowds, etc. And next week is our anniversary anyway. We usually don't do much on v-day and just wait until our anniversary.

We are going for dinner. Then its my friend's birthday party. She is a party promoter in the city so we are having a private party for friends before everyone else comes! I am also making breakfast for him in bed. Nothing too expensive.

No big gifts. I got him cologne and Monday night we'll do dinner. He's working today.

We aren't doing anything big either. FH has to go to the library today to study, he'll probably be there til 7 or 8pm. I might just have a nice dinner waiting for when he comes home. We might go to dinner tomorrow night.

I haven't been a fan of v-day for a while now. It's just a hallmark holiday. I don't need a day designated by someone else to tell FH how much I love him. JMO

Nothing major. Going to dinner with friends. Don't want any gifts, not buying a thing for each other except for a card!
Totally fine with me.

We're watching ALL THREE Lord of the Rings movies - EXTENDED VERSIONS, WITH COMMENTARIES for Fellowship and Two Towers. Then we're going out to see Return of the King! We're both such geeks!

Dinner and a movie..no big gifts or anything. I baked him cookies and he bought me roses.

I think it V-day is just a money making hallmark holiday , so I never celebrate it.

I'm having dinner with my parents b/c FH is in VA. He's going to a bar with the guys, so I know I'll get a drunken phone call around 2AM.

Nothing like true love!
