Just curious. My brother does (who was named after someone) but I don't. Always felt ripped off! And no one ever believed me growing up - they all thought I had some horrible midlde name that I didn't want to tell anyone!!! LOL!

I have one, but my friend does not. We used to not believe her too. I have another college friend where her name is Victoria Vicky, there was a mixup with the nurse, she didn't understand what her mother said the name owuld be so she was Victoria, yah know Vicki, and that is what was put on the Birth Certificate.

I forgot all about that!!!
Dh doesn't really have one...he was named after his father - with a middle name - but then it was changed to the American version of his name and the French version was made his middle name (when he was 8) So technically he is John Jean...but he is trying to phase it out...so he will officially have none...(he was able to on his SS card...and that has helped)
his brother doesn't have one...and on his drivers license he put none...so it says David None F...

My first name is hyphenated....Jeannie-Marie. My mother still gets PO'ed when people indicate Marie as my middle name. My brother has a hyphenated first name too.

Yabbobay - middle name is NONE - too funny!!!!
For some stupid work stuff, they put X in as middle initial for people who don't have ... I'll have to change my name to wXc0143 or better wNONEc0143 ... I crack me up!

I didn't have one either. I missed it as a child - but then realized there's really no point to a second name, unless the family really uses it (rare from what I've seen).
It did make it very easy for me when I got married though - I moved my maiden name to my middle and took DH's last name - so after all these years I finally benefited from it!
I will be giving our children middle names though

OMG is that really true?! Couldn't her parents have it corrected once they got home from the hospital?!

I agree that there really is no point to a middle name, but I ma glad that I ahve one, since it is my mom's name, and her middle name is my grandmother's name. So my daughter will be xxxx Michelle xxxx.

I dont My Brother and Sister (both younger) do. I remember asking my parents why I didnt have a middle name and my Mom told me we were didnt have enough money to get one when you were born! I think I believed her.

I don't. My father claims that he and mom didn't like anything else enough to put it with Kathleen. That was just a favorite name of theirs!!!
