Anyone else rather be invited or do you like to entertain?

Having gtg with ladies tonight and I dislike being a hostess. Im always nervous that their wont be enough food, people will have a bad time EtC

I love being a guest.

I love to entertain!! especially now that we have a house with much more room than our apt!!
although I do enjoy being a guest also!!

I hate entertaining too... I don't like cooking or cleaning. I'd rather go to someone else's house so I don't have to do any of it!

I LOVE entertaining. Although I LOVE to spend time with everyone and can get distracted from what needs to be done !!
I guess I can say I like people over my house, love when I have company, but I also wish I had a butler !!

I love to entertain. I really enjoy coming up with the menu's and stuff. It's a bit stressful, but it always works out in the end. I also enjoy being a guest as well.

I like to entertain, but sometimes the preparation is what gets to me, especially the cleaning!

I love to entertain! We LOVE having people over & cooking for them. Unfortunately, the house is too small for the kind of entertaining we like to do AND we don't have a dining room.

Soon, hopefully, we'll have a new house & we can have all of our friends over any time!

Love entertaining. DH and I are pretty much know for that in our circle of friends.

Although I love being a guest too...not having to cook and serve and stuff and getting to enjoy the party.

I love to host, I love to cook...if someone leaves my house hungry there is a big problem. I usually have way too much food. Hosting can be a lot of work though, you seem to be on your feet the entire time. I try to sit down with my guests and at least eat. When you are hosting with FH/DH it really helps if you are both covering the crowd.

Here is a funny story for you Wacky, about hosting...a few years ago I was the chief cook and bottle washer for Thanksgiving. Due to the number of people--40, we had it at my parents house. Anyway, I started the night before with the baking etc...then early on turkey day...I'm in the kitchen and my sister in-law comes in to help, she is another big cook anyway, everything is done, 2 turkeys carved and we had been drinking wine while we were cooking...we were smashed!!! But didn't realize it until we sat down. Everyone was eatting so much that they didn't notice that she and I didn't return to the table after grace. They pushed our plates aside...we ended up eatting mashed potatoes in the kitchen together..to sober up. Neither one of us could get much more down after drinking a bottle of wine together. I never had a slice of turkey that year..but I sure drank!!!
