Re: anyone else sad...

Maybe we're just weirdos, but I thought the day went really smoothly and slowly and I was really able to enjoy every moment of it!!!!

My day started at 4:30 when I couldn't sleep so I got up and showered. Hair came at 6 and makeup at 6:30, and we were totally ready by 8 for our reveal.

I guess when you start that early, it is a long day...

We got to the Milleridge around 9:15, spend 1 1/2 hours taking photos there, then I went up to the suite. The ceremony was 12 - 12:30 and then cocktail hour was a whole hour!

Then we had another 4 hours of eating and dancing, which was crazy!

DH turned to me around 3:30 and said 'so is it time to leave now?' to which I playfully slugged him in the arm and assured him we could not leave our OWN wedding early!!!

By the time the car and party limo came for everyone at 5:30 we had been up 13 hours (or I had at least) doing wedding stuff!!!

We got back to the hotel and changed, then hung out with our friends in the lobby drinking and playing games until midnight.

LONGEST DAY EVER - BEST DAY EVER!!!!

See, it doesn't have to zip by -- you'll love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to agree with Sandra.....while the day is kind of a blur....I don't feel it flew by at all.

Remember, the day starts when you wake up and get ready. I had breakfast with my mom, girls and flowergirls. We had our hair and makeup done together......so from 8am to 3am the day went on and on. 8am, breakfast, 9.30 hair and make-up, 2.00 photographer-video arrive- take photos, leave for ceremony ect....

The reception itself does feel a bit fast but I know you'll enjoy it- make sure, SERIOUSLY make sure that you sit at your table together- at least for your main course and take it all in. watch everyone laugh and eat and have a great time- it's all you need to let you know that your effort was well worth it.
