Re: Anyone else thinking of a wedding planner?
I'm not, personally but if you can afford it and you know that the whole thing will be too much for you to handle on your own, I'd say go for it!

Re: Anyone else thinking of a wedding planner?
I dont know much about what they cost or the level of their service, but maybe you could get more of a DOC to make sure everything goes smoothly. Post this thread over in BHB. You'll probably get alot of imput there!

Re: Anyone else thinking of a wedding planner?
fh and I are hiring a DOC to assist with set up, make sure things run smoothly, and keep any stress related issues away from me so that i can really enjoy the day. I've planned other events where I had limited help and I would do so much running around the day of the event that by the time it was over, I was wondering where the time went.

Hey 08'er crashing....lol
Its totally up to you..but keep in mind you have a long engagment (I did also) so you have plenty of time to research and do things yourself....If it was a shorter engagment and you were pressed for time I would say yes.

I am not having one b/c personally, I am so organized and a bit of a control freak.

Re: Anyone else thinking of a wedding planner?
I will be doing my own planning, not hiring a coordinator, but what services are you looking for? Full coordination, or Day of?

Re: Anyone else thinking of a wedding planner?
We're probably hiring a DOC... but we won't need a wedding planner for all the vendor appointments and such... I want to be pretty hands on with that.
