Anyone else upset with their BP? (Vent..sorry long)-UPDATE!!

I'm so upset with my BP! I found a reasonable dress for them to buy, I'm not asking them to get their hair or nails done for the wedding, I told them they could pick what shoes that they wanted...I am trying to make this as reasonable as I can for them, I don't want them to spend too much money.

Anyway, I've heard that they are planning my shower and now they are complaining (to me) that they have to pay for the shower and that will be taken into consideration when my bach. party is planned!!

They know that I don't care if I have a BBQ shower or if there are just bagels...I just want to spend time with them and I all wanted to do for my bach party was spend the day together and grab lunch and maybe get our nails done or something...

I am just so upset because there is so much other stress with the wedding, buying a house, and getting my students ready to take their Regents in a couple of weeks....I'm ready to melt down! The last thing I want to hear is my bridal party complaining to me!!

I'm sorry that this is so long...I just had to vent. What would you do? Thanks for listening!!

WOW do u have the same BP they did the same thing to me. Hang in there. Remember you will have a good day and that it is your day. I am going to see if I can find my post about it. Finally my FH told them all to shut up and fight amongst themselves because I knew to much.

I think it is SO wrong for them to tell u this and for them to say its going to affect ure bach party.

That sucks. As I said on another post, wedding sometimes bring out the worst in people. It is extremely unfair of them to complain to you. I know what it's like to be super-stressed out about wedding stuff and then to have people who KNOW how stressed you are, purposely add to it. As I'm also finding out, every bridal party in every wedding is always the same. Even the guys - they complain about money, attending the bachelor party, traveling, etc. Nobody seems to remember that everyone did it for them when they got married OR will do it for them in the future. That's why I'm reccommending to my sisters that they do without a bridal party when they get married! Hang in there...

I was in the same boat Erin....$$ was a huge issue for all of them which is why I went with David's for their dresses. Everything else was an option. I believe my stepmom paid for the shower and helped plan it with my sister. The bach. party was kind of thrown together but we ended up getting a limo and going to Posh and had a blast.

It'll all come together.....relax.

Gee. I think we have the same BM. Not all 5 of them are like that. but i have 1 that complains ALL THE TIME. its incredible. I did the same thing about the attire, I told them to pick out ANY bill levkoff gown, but it had to be all black satin, they can wear any shoe, any jewelry, i dont care about the hair, just do what you want. What a headache !! sometimes i wish i just picked the dress and said get it! they werent even that expensive, there were so many under 200.

Maybe have your FH say something, thats what i did.

Dont worry.. This is YOUR day and your FH day!!

Thank you for letting me vent!!

ETS: I spoke the the BM who made the comments that hurt my feelings and told her that I really did not want to know what is going on with the shower/bach. party. We talked it out and everything is fine now.

The one thing that confused me is that she just got married 2 weeks ago and she had a problem with one of her BMs and was so upset, I don't know why she would do this to me when she knew how upset she was?!

I'm sure that it will all work out! This whole process is so stressful!!!!

Yep - sounds like what's going on with my BP. One of my bridesmaids called me all stressed out to say she wanted my shower to be at Gurney's in Montauk - knowing that I didn't want anyone to spend a lot of money - and that she wanted my okay to do it there since they would have to do it during the day - and I preferred a night party. Anyway then I was brought into the whole thing and found out that a lot of my friends were being perceived as cheap and ohhh it was such a mess. I was very stressed out about it.....now I think it's going to be at someone's house and I hope will be less expensive. I agree with another post - tell people not to have a BP!!!!
