I was just wondering if anyone else was hiring a DOC or a planner to help with the wedding.
I just feel like i have so much going on with overseeing the design of our house, and all the other crazy wedding stuff going on.
It seems like this would really come in handy. Having someone who has done this a million times and neither me or my FH will have to worry about a thing. I also dont want any of my BM's or parents lifting a finger that day either. also to make sure no one gets stuck doing something they shouldnt be doing.

Personally, I wouldn't want someone else planning my wedding. I like being in control of it all.

I am but she is FH's groomsman's mom, so she is not charging. She just offered her services as a gift. She will be a guest at our wedding, but she has no problem being on hand to make the day run more smoothly and less stressful for me and my mom and everyone else.
Under any other circumstances though, I dont think that I would pay for something like that. That's what family and friends are for IMO.

im using christine from EAP. shes not helping in planning but is there for any questions i have. she'll be there day of taking care of everything so i dont have to worry which is a big priority for me.

same here....I don't even know how much they run...but I freak out if something's going on that I don't know about...I'd rather know and deal with it or delegate it to someone...I hate not knowing.

I hired a DOC. while I'm a pretty laid back gal most of the time, the wedding day is going to stress me out, so i figured the DOC can take a lot of the stress away from me and my parents and just let us enjoy our day.

Same here, I have two very close very punctual friends that have volunteered to help me out the day of, Hopefully that and the attendant will be good enough.

We had a DOC, and I don't think I could have gotten through the wedding day without her.
We used Eliana (enjft on the boards here). Her company name is By Your Side Events.

I have a DOC. He is very helpful and has a lot of experience. He is very familiar with my hall and will be a great help the day of. My mom esp wanted someoen bc when my sister got married 2 yrs ago she could have used the help the day of to be less stressed

we hired a planner who will also be our DOC...it was my FH's idea, he knows how stressed I get when making big decisions...and didn't want me to worry about anything

We hired Gina from Knot to Be Forgotten..LOVE HER! She came with me to my trial today (and its 11 months before the wedding!) She is wonderful to talk too and EVERYONE knows her. shes been great so far and I need someone to help me keep it together that day :) She's worth every penny...
