I saw this topic but it's old, so figured I'd try a new one. FH and I have been dating three years(this coming Feb) and we're waiting til marriage. Only by God's grace have we made it thus far! We can't wait for our wedding night though!! We cuddle, and are very affectionate with each other, but we don't do ANYTHING that leads to other things. We're old fashioned, what can I say...
I'm a little nervous about the first time, but I know it will be special. I'm a Christian, and it's part of what I believe. I don't profess to be perfect, I did mess up with an ex, doing things I shouldn't, so this time I didn't want to make that mistake again. I moved on, and here we are! Anyone else waiting?
PLEASE NOTE!!!! This is NOT meant to condemn ANYONE. I'm just curious is all!! I'm not a judgemental person at all! We all have choices, and this is my and my FH's choice! Thanks!!

I am waiting too..but FH has before. i call him my born again virgin. It's my belief, he doesn't agree but respects it and me.
It is hard though!! Sometimes, I wonder if I'm really being a good christian, because i think about it all the time lol!!!!

Hey listen, sex is GOD's gift to us!!! Don't ever forget that!! He invented it to be a beautiful thing between husband and wife! God never promised it would be easy, but He did promise His grace to help us through anything!! We just have to trust Him for it! YES, it is hard, but well worth it! You go girl!! PS I think about it too... never said I was perfect...

I didn't wait for marriage but I waited for the one. FH is the only one and always will be.

TMI but who cares - nope...we've been together for just under 5 yrs - made him wait 6 months and its been great since. he was used to girls givin it up right away but he's my second and i needed to be sure b/c i didnt want a third. we've learned alot about each other ...but i still have limitations...we add a new sexual adventure for each big occassion - i.e. something new for engagment soemthing new for the wedding night get what i mean? lol my mom was a virgin when she married my dad and preached for me to do the same...but i knew i couldn't ever be promiscious - but I def couldnt wait

I think it is awesome that you are waiting till marriage. My FH and I have been dating since we are 15. We waited till we were 17. However, our first time was amazing, romantic, and special. Most 17 year old are not that lucky.

I personally did not wait for marriage but I am not a religous person. I have the utmost respect for people who choose to wait and I am trying to convince my little sister to at least wait for some one special. I will share your story as a positive example for her. I tried to make Fh wait at least a little when we first started dating but there was too much sexual tension and well I caved early. but at least it wasn't the first date. I waited for the second

GOOD FOR YOU!!! I know what you mean!! My FH is so hot too...it's not easy being around him especially when he wears a button down and dresses up for work(he's a manager so he wears dress clothes). DANG IT...Sometimes we do joke around about getting married now and celebrating later(the reception that is). I just don't want to take away from the excitement and anticipation of our wedding. We made it this far! We can make it another few months!!
