about where the rest of the money is coming from??? With 32 days left, we only have final payments to make, but with all the last minute things you don't think about....I'm really starting to get worried. To all the married ladies, where did you cut corners at the end to save some cash?

Re: Anyone else worried....
I just sat the other day with all my vendor balances and my check book. With what money I've saved when its all said and done I'd have a few hundred left to the good. I'm hoping to be able to stock a few more bucks from my next two pays to make more of a buffer in case something unexpected comes up. Hopefully I won't have to cut anything we had planned. I think its something we all think about

Re: Anyone else worried....
credit cards definitely come in handy at the last minute along with cutting back on the little things. Are people going to say you had a horrible wedding because you didn't have a slipper basket. I doubt it very much. Last minute I wanted a card box, my mom and I went to target and found a birdcage candle holder ,placed a pretty paper in the inside and used it as a card holder. We used the menus from the hall, no programs, no petal cones, we didnt go crazy with flowers. My biggest concern was keeping my guest eating, drinking, dancing, and laughing. If the bride is happy and having a good time everyone else will follow. Ikea also came in very handy with a few DIY projects. We gave oil burners with oils and candles to scent your home, bought them from a wholesale place and assembled them myself. My mom didn't spend hundreds of dollars on her dress she went to Macy's, found a dress that matched the wedding colors and looked extremely HOT! If your someone who wears makeup and has an idea of how you like your make up I recommend doing it yourself or if you know someone who has some knowledge, Invest in a few good products, Sephora or MAC will always show you how to use it and what will work best for. One thing we did was rent one limo for me and my bridal party just to drop us at the hall because the ceremony and reception were at the same place. Most places quoted me $450 + tip and tolls just for a drop off no pictures, no pick up after the reception. I had a problem with that. I called a famous cab company that picks up at airports, they had stretch lincoln 10 passenger for $195 + tip n tolls. Guess which one I took. There were a few other things FM if you want I could give you plenty of ideas. Don't sweat the little things people will not notice them as much as you do.

Re: Anyone else worried....
The credit cards scare me LOL I paid mine off in full about 2 months ago. FH still carries some c/c debt, but he has more debt in general with being a new home owner. I have tried to dump almost every penny I can into our joint account to have for wedding expenses. I have also tried to keep the credit cards free and clear and really hope I don't have to put anything big on them

Re: Anyone else worried....
I look at our budget all the time and worry. Sometimes I wish we had a longer engagement or a smaller wedding. At this point we may end up needing to use our balance tranfer offer checks to cover some wedding related costs (we rather use them, as it's 0% interest in some cases for the life of the balance you take out or until like 11/09, it's better than using the credit card).

Re: Anyone else worried....
Hahaha someone posted this last week and I was like nope not worried. I'm still confident we made good choices but once I added up the total cost and the final payment... well there goes the savings. But we have made extra payments and put money aside which will make it easier when final payments come. We'll be ok.
