My FH does not drink at all. He will not even sample a drink. So for our first toast as man and wife I will be having champagne while he has sparkling apple cider or something.
Anyone else in the same situation? It is not a big deal at all to me just being nosy.

My FH doesn't drink a drop either. We'll be doing the same thing. He'll have sparkling cider while I have the champagne. I don't mind at all....its just more champagne for me to drink hehe.

My DH doesn't drink at all either. I think he just lifted his glass and put it right back down for the toasts. He did suffer through the sip of wine at the ceremony though -- what a trooper. hehe

Me too! My FH is straight-edge has been since before I met him! So he will not taste anything with alcohol not even for a toast! I don't mind either... to each is own, I am proud of him for sticking to what he believes.. me on the other hand WILL definitely be partaking in the alcholic beverages at our wedding! :) Just think.. we always have a designated driver!

Same here- my FH hates to drink. Doesn't like the taste at all. Rarely and I mean rarely he will have one drink but that's me persuading him. And then he'll take a sip and put it down!

My DH doesn't drink either, so we also made a request for sparkling cider for both his and his father's champagne glass. No big deal during the toast. We were still able to toast and kiss and have a great picture!!

My FH is a complete teetotaler! Will not have a drop of liquor.... we will be doing the same thing, champagne for me, sparkling cider for him.....

Me too! My FH does not drink. We are looking for some nonalcoholic alternatives (b/c he does not like apple cider!) i have heard that there is a new 'wine substitute' called Ame. anybody try it yet??

mine either! I love that he doesn't--i mean he will have a beer here and there or maybe one mixed drink if we are @ a wedding but never ever will he get drunk--we both are just not drinkers--don't need it to have fun---

FI is definitely not a drinker! He'll have an occasional mudslide or something with me if I have a bad day, but that's about it! When we took our cruise last summer he had a couple of drinks daily, but that's on vacation. Normal, everyday stuff - nope he's not a drinker. He will probably have a drink or two at the wedding - he's extremely shy and the thought of all that attention on him - he'll be drinking!!!

My FH is like that. He'll have an OCCASSIONAL drink. I think he'll do the toast with champagne at the wedding, but nothing more than that.

Wow. There are a lot of you! I think it's great! My FH is a cop (they love to party) and while he does not drink much anymore primarily b/c of his schedule (works midnights), he enjoys a nice batch of Coors Light here and there. I drink like a fish. In fact, we are drinking tonight!

Wow! I didn't realize how many people/FH's didn't drink. My FH and I are both straightedge and have never drank. We will have sparkling cider at the wedding. We will be having alcohol though for the guests. Our familie aren't big drinkers but FH's friends are. We are also both vegetarian and will be having a vegetarian reception!!! It was the only ethical thing for us to do.

Wow i'm surprised too that there are others =) neither of us drink and we'll be having sparkling cider at the reception. there won't be any alcohol at the reception, but that shouldn't be a problem for at least 95% of the people there .. the rest will just have to deal
