Turning into Ray Barone's mother!!!

ok this is weird, i just vented a long story and its not here. let me try again.

we are in the middle of cleaning the apt we are about to move into and she's telling what cleaners to buy and how to clean. HELLO, I'VE CLEANED ENOUGH TIMES IN MY LIFE FOR MY OWN MOTHE AND MYSELF THANK U!!!

I've lived on my own twice, i know how to clean and cook. oh the cooking, a few weeks ago my FI was marinating a steak for his firehouse and she was teaching me how to do it. R U KIDDING ME!!!!

she was so different in the beginning. now that we r engaged, she was made the crossover.

i don't know how much longer i can keep biting my tongue.

Turning into? OY! His mom is not that bad but my mom is a combo of Ray's mom, George Costanza's mom from Seinfeld, looks like Kyle from South Park's mom (and shes Jewish just like her too) and Harvey Fierstein all wrapped up into one. Mom has a deep voice with an accent from the Bronx. I do love mom but this is who she is! At least I know what to expect!

LOL- my friend (and a bride on the '05 board) thinks they models 'Marie' after her FMIL...and I think she's right!

I'm so sorry!! I know Marie can be quite a nuisance, but you know she only does it bc she cares. Your FMIL loves her son and she only wants the best for him, so she's prob just a lil precautious right now. I'm sure she doesn't mean any offense to you, but it's gotta be hard to let go of her lil boy!

I understand that, but her lil boy aint so lil, he's 35 and has lived on his own once before too. I know she doesn't do it on purpose, that's why i grin and bear it, it's just sometimes she treats me like i'm 10 and her daughter that knows nothing. I'm sure once we are in the apt for good, she'll ease up, I hope anyways

My parents can't wait to get rid of me
