TOTAL VENT. I know there are much worse things in life. But every time it is time to celebrate anything wedding related, someone comes along and 'steals my thunder', lol. I announce I'm engaged, my friend (who doesnt even have a steady BF) announces she is pregnant. My college friends arrange a dinner so they can celebrate my engagement, another friend gets engaged the night before, so we both have to share the spotlight. Now, our engagement party is this week, and FH's cousin gets engaged today. I know these are amazing things and I am totally happy for everyone, and I can't wait to share in their special days. I just wish I had an 'it's all about ME' moment during this engagement. It's a totally shallow feeling, I admit, and I feel it's half comical, half annoying. I am the Friends episode about stealing thunder. I joked that at our wedding his sister will announce that she is a Nobel Prize recipient. Vent over.

Everyone is giving great advice -- so I won't throw any more of my 2 cents in but to say this --
You are justified in feeling the way you are feeling! It is okay and not bridezilla at all -- its not like you are planning on doing this again -- a little spotlight is nice for everyone!
