Just wondering...because I was (a few years back) when I worked for a certain publisher...I was devastated even though I HATED IT THERE! But it was the best thing that ever happened to me because I went back to become a teacher!

no but i almost was my first job out of college. thsi is really bad but if i dont want to ddo somethign and my heart is not in it i dont really put effort in to it and i addmit i screwed up ALOT but luckily like you i left and after two more jobs that i liked ( and did my job ) i decided to be a teacher and LOVE It i could never go back to an office again!

I was! I also hated that job i was at i worked for the airlines not the alines persay itself, I worked for a company called dobbs and we made the food and put it on the trays and put them in the cart.The hours there was horrible they once had me coming in at 4:30 in the morning till 11 am one time i had to be there at 7 am till 3 i hated it and the boss he let sexual harrassment go on there! so i let them fire me bacause they said i wasn't getting my job done fast enough, i use to come home crying from that job i wanted out!and now that place does not exsist anymore .

I got fired from a job that I hated, but the $$ was GREAT!!.....It was wrongful termination, so I sued, and won!

Nope. Had a close call a few years ago, until I worked it out w/the boss and she realized SHE was wrong. Here we are 6 years later, and Im still working for her!

Yes.
I was 'let go' from a telemarketing job .. because I just 'wasn't pushy enough.'
I was actually surprised I lasted as long as I did .. which was almost through the entire summer .. and I had only planned on staying for the summer anyway. (It was while I was in college).

I was 'let go' from a bakery when I was 16. They said I 'stole money' from the register but I really know it was because the owner realized that I knew he was dealing coke out of the back of the shop I was upset a first, but I got over it fast because the guy was a real jerk... he used to come into the store high and drunk all the time.

Only once, but technically I had given notice the day before. I had this HORRIBLE boss that was condescending, sexist, rude, and was threatened by me because I knew more than he did and wouldn't tolerate his harrassment. I had had enough of his sh*t so i went to his supervisor and told him I couldn't take it anymore and I was giving two weeks, he said wait it out. The next day I came in and was LECTURED by the a$$hole how I seemed to despise everyone there, I said 'No, just you' and he fired me. I got unemployment anyway because they knew if they denied me I'd sue for sexual harrassment and probably win (he had used the word 'tits' around me, and had done other inappropriate things around my staff like telling them dirty jokes).
I only decided not to sue because I just didn't want to be bothered with being associated with this louse any longer. Plus it seemed like his boss was really on his side and not mine.

A publisher that you HATED? Could it be Mr. Barron? I worked for him and couldn't stand him either.

WHen I was 16 I was fired from TCBY!!! We were really busy one night and the coffee machine broke and of course I get the customer who wanted a cup of coffee. So I asked the asst manager what to do and he told me to tell the customer to walk 3 stores down to the bakery and get his coffee there - so I did - in a nice way - and the guy flipped out!! So the manager came in like 5 seconds later and the guy complained about me!!! So I was fired. When the manager found out that it was the asst manager who told me to say it, I got my job back! I quit like two weeks later because the new Gap opened!
