Anyone ever dated a guy with

Failure to Launch Symptoms?

I did once. I could get along with the living at home part their family house was HUGE, so he has his own section. But buddy boy's mom still didnt his laundry, cooked all his meals (including his lunch). What I was dating was a TRUE Mama's Boy. When we went on dates she's call at least 3 times. Could someone pass me a pair of scissors to cut the umbilical cord! I was waiting to hear one day that she was giving him a bubble bath and couldnt come to the phone. But I left so I woulnd never have to think of such a scene. Especially since he had no intentions of ever moving out!

I have such a dirty mind.. I saw your first sentence 'failure to launch' and immediately thought you meant Viagra-needing problems...

I would've thought the same thing.

Thats what i thought!!!

To answer the question, I did once for like 3 weeeks and it made me so mad that i wasnted to smack him. u have no job, no abbition, u play with ur parents money all day and do nothing...GRRRRRRR.. that makes me so mad.

I think you must have dated my husband..that's him to a T! His mom used to cut the tags out of his new shirts because he thinks they are itchy. She would take all his mail to the post office and get stamps for him, cook all his meals, clean his room, do his laundry, pick up his dry cleaning...true momma's boy. We moved in together before we got married so he's become a lot more independent. I'm the cleaner and I do all the cooking but I'm amazed at how much progress he's made. He takes care of my dry cleaning, does food shopping with me, he even makes the bed for me every morning! LUCKY ME!

Does your hubby have a brother?
I'm gonna guess that your hubby was willing to change b/c he knew that he had to leave mommy and be a Man with you. Men do surprise you though. But I had to run anyone remember the epsiode on Sex and the City when Trey's mom wa in the bathroom with him while he was bathing. COME ON!!! I'd have nitghtmares for years!!!!!

I remember that episode of Sex & the City...Trey's mom was so freaky! Yes my hubby does have a brother - who is the total opposite of him! Go figure! I think he psyched himself up for the challenge of becoming more self sufficent when we moved in together, it actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We've been living together almost a year and he still hasn't lost all of his spoiled ways but I pick my battles and I try to be patient. He actually offered to hire a house keeper to come every 2 weeks because he could see that I spending a lot of time cleaning up after him (and our dog) and it was cutting into our 'quality time' together. You better believe I took him up on that offer! I'm extremely self reliant but I know I can be bratty in other ways and he puts up with me so I do the same with him. You gotta take the good with the bad....
