Anyone ever eat at Waterzooi or Victory?

You should have a good time - I don't go to Victory often but they are next door to each other - in fact they share a private party room.

They are owned by the same people - he (his family) used to live across the street from my family years ago.

The happy hour is nice it attracts a lot of professionals.

I personally LOVE to eat at waterzooi - they have great martini's, beers, but their mussles (platters and pots) are to die for!!!!

I have only eaten once at victory and enjoyed it - Victory does have a dj and can get very crowded at night.

Etd to add that they are in Garden City on Franklin Avenue just north of Stewart Ave

OMG I LOVE both places!!! Waterzooi has really amazing mussels (if you like them)

ETA - there is also a waterzooi in RVC and Manhattan

I have been to the one on the Garden City.. it is AWESOME!!!! Gnocchi as an appetizer.. you will love it!

My mom LOVES the sweet potato gnocchi!!!

Hey there, I been to Waterzooi and it is amazing like the others said. Every type of mussel you can imagine and they just keep on coming (mega mussels), it seems the bucket never ends!!! We had this awesome appetizer too, something lobster :)

I highly recommend it, although it does get a bit noisy....
